The thing that kills me is that Ozzy's voice is wavering so much that the pitch correction won't track him properly...

I may not be the best bass player around, but I am the bass player in U2.

The solo is why you do what you do for a living and Slash is a musician for a living :emofag: :grim:

Not a huge fan of the solo but I like the song. As far as the album goes, it rips! Great live too.

I agree about Ozz, I'm getting really sick of the uber-Autotuned vocals.

On another note, I really wish Axl would get his head out of his ass and get the old GNR lineup back together again. Then we can all enjoy some killer tunes.
It will Never Happen :aww:

I like Slashs Tone on the lead. Not over saturated with gain, not thin sounding like some of his other stuff but not a lead that really jumps out and makes ya say wow either. All in all sounds good but Ozzy ruined it for me. Cant he just lay down and die and get it over with. We lost Ronnie James Dio  and ozzy is still here? WTF

to the poster who mentioned a 14 year old could play Slash's leads... that isn't exactly hard, I could play most of the leads of the Ozzy Tribute album at 14. The point is, no 14 year old wrote those leads or came up with the phrasing to make it happen. That is where the jam and the credit is due.. Slash wrote those riffs and he wrote those leads on AFD. Millions of artists can paint, but not all of them created a masterpiece. AFD had great leads..

As for all this talk that GnR should reunite.. that is exactly what I heard today. Rumours are circulating about a reunion for the super bowl next year. I heard it on the radio so it is by no means set but it hasn't been shot down by slash yet and he is said he is open to working it out and letting the past be the past. He just wants to get on stage with original members. My only problem with this is that Axl can't sing at all anymore ( i saw them last year) and I guarantee they will exclude Steven Adler. I'm just going to come out and say it as a drummer and guitar player, Matt Sorum sucks balls. The guy is shit in my opinion. Adler had the mojo and the attitude and it is reflected in his drumming. Sorum's drumming just doesn't have the swagger and you can hear it when you compare any of the live shows from AFD and UYI.

I dig it. Best stuff Ozzy or Slash has done in a long time. The solo was fine.

The best stuff Slash has done has been Snakepit. This Ozzy track isn't even close.

When did Snakepit come out? 90's? It's been awhile back it seems. Velvet Revolver was meh.

Something like 1995 and 2000. There were 2 versions. The first was my favorite and the second was still very, very good. They were both were pretty much an extension of the GNR vibe, but I actually like them better. I saw the second lineup live and it was one of the best shows that I ever saw in my life. I was about 4 feet from Slash in a tiny club in NYC and could only imagine it was like seeing GNR on the Sunset Strip when they were starting out...except after they were already a season touring act.

i thought some of the gnr stuff was brilliant. great songwritting and the right sound, never vibed on the snakepit or velvet stuff..slash is what he is ...a solid guitar playing.

I love the whole thing too. I like the song with Fergie the best on that album.

And it was the video of the decade IMHO... :D

And there ya go. If Wood can get into it, I think the rest of us lesser mortals here can come down off our high horses and find something about the album we like.

I love this album. I was never a Slash fan until this CD. They kicked off the tour here in MN in a very small casino in the middle of nowhere hours from the twin cities. It was a great show and got to talk with rest of the band (all except Slash) after the show. Myles Kennedy is a nice guy.

My favorite song on the new CD is "Nothing to Say". Slash is dangerously close to shredding on this track!

Howdy Mark :) Yeah... it's pretty terrible. I feel like if Ozzy doesn't get some vocal coaching, he may never be able bring the goods again  :scared:
