Loved the Bogner Shiva because it got AIC, Tool and all that era sounds, in one amp. Like a Marshall mixed with a Dual Rec, in one amp. That's the way to go.
Naylor Superdrive would be the more expensive version, Budda Superdrive the darker and cheaper version.
Or just run a Marshall with a Mesa DR.
Or crank a clean Fender or bass spec Marshall, hit it with a DS1 or Big Muff.
Really, those early grunge sounds were loud amps, Fender, JCM800, hit with pedals. Then later blended with the Dual Recs or SLO.
