Inquiring minds want to know. Want to get one but its hard to find.

I thought the Randall Satan was the Chinese version of the Natas.

There is no way the randall stuff even if the same circuit could sound the same with chinese transformers etc...

Contemplating the thrasher, dunno though.

The sound samples Ive heard of the Thrasher are good but they sound nothing close to the Satan. I think am going to wait for the Satan,

It is intended to be the mass produced version. Equal may be a stretch; mass produced vs. custom work

who the fuck cares if I make it or China makes it! My RD 45 flat out smokes! I've put it up against all the high end shit out there and you guys holding the dicks of mass produced amps don't sound as good are fuckin nuts!

Carry on rant over!

For some companies, I totally agree. The Jet City stuff is very good quality for being mass produced in China. Plus they sound freakin' KILLER.

Other amps like some mass produced Egnater stuff haven't been so great coming out of QC. Seems to be a lot better since the Tweaker line was introduced a few years ago.

Just because something is made in China doesn't mean it can't sound great. The transformers are clones of the custom winds that were used in the Natas.

Ok so the only difference is the transformers being Chinese? I dunno about that. When I listen to samples of both heads they dont sound that similar to me.

I care.

I like seeing my money stay in and benefit my local community. If that isn't an option, I'd like to see it go to good people here inside the USA. I don't like seeing my money go to a communist government that is literally trying to bring down the wealth and prosperity of the USA by ruining our Industrial infrastructure.

Remember that a country that can't feed, power, and manufacture everything it needs, is a weak country.

Ok, well in my experience I have never heard an overseas transformer that competes with something like heyboer or mercury.

I am seriously anal about things as well. Marginal improvements are always worth it to me.

The same thi was said about the randall Mts transformers and the ones I changed were night and day.

I understand what you are saying completely. The problem is people walk into a store and they want to pay the same price for a guitar or amp that they cost 30 years ago. I see it all day long. Many people don't want to spend more than $129 for a starter electric guitar for their kid. That's what my first used, Japanese electric cost 35 years ago! So little Joey has a $129 piece of crap guitar and a $700 iPhone5 in his pocket, made in China.

And I don't think these amps are intended in any way at $1800 to compete with USA made amps that cost $3600 or are targeting the same demographic.

No. It can't, it's made in China.

But Germany is ok? For the local community? I guess since u own a vht it's cool.

FWIW, I didn't like the Natas proto when I played it. I love my Thrasher. Killer amp at a great price.

Preach it man. This place becomes like snob knob at times. Every fkn electronic device is made in China. But no ones crying about their fkn cellphone, laptop or big screen tv. Get over yourselves

I just wanted to know if the amps sound the same...guess I'll never know..
