Mine just arrived--holy lord this amp sounds good. Get one if you can, immediately. This tone at this price point is unbelievable. I played it through a Splawn 2 x 12 with Small Blocks, and a "Franken-cab" which is a Fender HM-412 cabinet with 2 x Crate Eminence Blue Voodoo speakers and 2 x Celestion G12C-30 speakers (the ones that come in the Jimi Hendrix & Vintage Modern cabs).

Now, understand, I'm a huge fan of the EL84 greasy overdrive so this is heaven to my ears. It might not be for everyone, but it sounds really good and is going into my core tone IMMEDIATELY.

Clips probably tomorrow--sushi bar is calling tonight...

Oh, so what does everyone want to hear it through? V30's? H30's? G12T-75's? Vintage Modern cabs? The Splawn 2 x 12?

Let me know...

sounds nice!
Wow, that thing sounds great. $400 for a brand new, 2 channel amp with a loop. Sounds like a no brainer.

I would say for the price point this amp is absolutely a no-brainer. I hope JCA is sufficiently readied for the demand there will be for this amp. Everyone is going to want one, as far as I can see. We'll have to see if the 22W is enough in a band situation, or if it needs to be slaved into a power amp.

I recently tried a homebrew 18w thru an oversized 2x12 at rehearsal and it was plenty with the band. Tried it at home thru a custom 4x12 with weber greenbacks and it sounded damn good as well. Sitting here having some coffee and waiting for your videos lol. I may have to pull the trigger on this today...

Next weekend I might be able to do a crappy vid of mine, through a 2-12 of Emi Swamp Thangs, dialed in as metal as possible.

Any of you guys that snagged it going to do a metal vid? I'm interested to see what this can do boosted.

What kind of boost you looking for? I'm kind of limited on what I have cuz I don't really boost much. I have:

Boss SD-1
Tube Screamer
YJM Overdrive (hey, it was $9)
Boss Power Stack
Marshall JMP-1 (?)

Other than that I'd have to 4CM it with a Boss GT-8 to get more/different front-end options. My DS-1 and Sparkle Drive are offsite at the moment...

Haven't tried it yet--I've had "strangeness" with the loop on my JCA100H as it's a fixed serial loop with no adjustments (I had to learn this the hard way). I'm working on setting up a demo with both the 22H and the 100HDM. Time is not on my side right now...

I had one already, got it off Ebay, great seller by the way. The amp was really nice right out of the box, it had a lot of gain but I used a boost pedal to tighten up the bottom end. Bottom line it is a great amp for the money, basically it sounded just like the other soldano amps I owned, you know it is a soldano circuit soon as you start to play. I sold it off as it was a impulse buy and the ccv possibly shipping soon, should have kept it . The channel switching worked great and the tone from the crunch channel sound pretty aggressive too, you really have to back the gain down in the crunch channel to get it clean up. I just used a tc flashback in the loop with 3' sent and return cables and it sounded fine no tone suckage to speak of. I never tried it with longer send and return cables though. Great little amp. Just my 2 cents.

I just did a clean channel on one and then revoiced the crunch to a heavier rock/metal vibe and added the Hammer mod to the OD channel. I also added a gain style switch that is pretty cool. The clean on this rivals the better cleans on most amps. No pedals need to tighten the bottom anymore either :) I'll post some clips later this week.

Brian sounds like you have a winner on your hands. I would be broke if you lived closer.
