Sometimes the unexpected makes a day - Madness from the Gutter live

I hadn't really expected this kind of exciting live recording today. I’ve had this Savatage live recording playing on repeat since this morning; it’s transporting me right back to my youth. Criss Oliva was simply incredible. I’m also really impressed by the quality of both the performance and the sound.






I know this post doesn't add much in terms of substantive discussion to Rig-Talk, but I just had to share my enthusiasm with people who can appreciate Criss Oliva and Savatage.

I was listening to this today as well. Being in Tampa myself, Criss was a local hero, and criminally underrated and flew under the radar. A truly exceptional player, and a shame he was taken from us so soon.
