Suhr or Anderson

Both amazing. I have a Suhr Guthrie and it works for me, but I'd love to try an Anderson!

That said, the guitars that click best with me personsally are PRS Custom 24s with wide thin necks. I love my other guitars but PRS's just feel perfect to me.

Both companies are amazing, but I prefer the tones and feel of the Suhr's. The Suhr's are the tools that feel at home in my hands. I prefer the Standard and Classic models. BTW, Suhr offers a ton of choices on neck profiles, width, frets, etc...

Recently played a cobra at a local dealer. This guitar was in desperate need of a set up. There was so much relief in the neck the action was about .25" off the fretboard. Price tag was $3600 and it was the only TA they had. Kinda redidulous to have such a nice guitar hanging there in such bad shape.

I ran into the same thing at Steve's Music in Toronto. They had two Andersons there that were totally neglected. The price had been reduced, but even still the condition of them turned me off. I ended up buying my Axis from Long & McQuade that day.

I fell in love with a Suhr at Make'n Music in Chicago. I wish I had bought it, but I was saving for my Herbert at the time. The Suhr's just feel right to me. They're incredible instruments. I hope I get the chance to play some well set-up Andersons in the near future lol.

I have a Suhr Modern with all GG specs other than the body being made of Alder, and I have a TA Drop top made of basswood. The quality of both are extremely high and they both play and sound great. I find I'm playing the Suhr more than the TA, but really I don't think you could go wrong with either guitar maker.

But one thing to consider is Suhr's seem to have a higher re-sell value, if that matters to you.

The Suhr I had I would describe as an AMAZING Fender stratocaster. The Anderson's I've had (Pro Am and Drop Top) were in a league all their own.

Both great brands with great customer service...I, however, would choose either of the Anderson's I've had over the Suhr I had any day.
