I bought a compensated saddle for my Andy wood as well. Just have not put it on yet. I’m not replacing the tray on that one. Figured it was ‘market research’.

it does look cool. I really love the look and feel of matte, but I end up avoiding playing them after a while. I get OCD about the shiny spots where my hands touch it. Really liked the no guard option, but saw it needs it. I even thought the tortoise looked cowboy cool. Black works though. Nice thing about a guard, you can always change it up later.
