Anyone have bad experience with demo/open box items through sweetwater?

Ive always had great service , just concerning to by an amp head that's a demo. Only one left

Well if the the service is great so will thier return policy unless youre saying no returns.

Other than that there is no way for someone to give you an opinion on what this particular amp went through since out of its box.

I got my Friedman Runt 50 as a demo unit from Sweetwater. Basically treated like a brand new amp. Zero issues with the amp or with the service.

Not to hijack the thread, but what's the verdict on the Runt 50?

In my experience, Sweetwater has been awesome all around.

Never bought a demo item, but have bought new gear and as others have said their service has been stellar for me so far. They even take pics of guitars they have on the website and created a library. You can look at the actual guitar, serial # and all, that you want to buy. If there are several in stock of the same model, you can compare grain patterns, finishes, etc. Pretty cool!

I just bought a demo peavey 6505, it was mint. I would not even know it was a demo. all the tags were still on it.

Sweetwater is phenomenal. I dig them so much that I want to visit the actual location sometime. :)

Everytime I buy something, I'm in communication with my rep the entire process and afterwards he always contacts me to ask how I like my product, etc. We always make a little small talk about different things. Great company and awesome service!

+1

I had a chance to go to the Sweetwater gearfest this summer to work a booth with a friend and his product, but I already had plans to be in Vermont that same weekend. I hope he asks me again next year.

I moved to Ft Wayne a few months ago. Sweetwater has a storefront and is 10 min away from me so EVERYTHING in stock is available same day. They will even same day ship in ft Wayne for free!

BEST/WORST thing that ever happened to me.

Sweetwater is a great company to deal with, I think you will be just fine buying a demo model.

I got an open box guitar from musicans friend never again they put the guitar in a big box wraped in bubble wrap it was moveing all over and the guy said they knew what they were doing lol

I've bought several demo items over the years, they tend to be eager to move them. If there is an issue, have no worries about them making it right.

Sweetwater is first class. Never had an issue with new or demo gear.
