Synergy JMP module clam outing

Shouldn’t have clicked, now I need to try this module🤦🏻‍♂️ sounds awesome and more gain than I thought these had.

Just goofing off 8:30 in the morning

sounds killer!! does the Synergy stuff punch like a real amp? that was always my hesitation on those. i know the tones are cool just wondering how they would hold up with a band

The synergy amps aren't the way. But you pair a syn dock with a fryette 2/90/2 and it is God sound

This is the setup i tried the second time. The first time i tried synergy, it was with the synergy amp, and I was left wanting....but this setup is the best sound I have ever heard and punches like a fucking mule

As chris says, Darren, the synergy stuff sounds as good as the power amp you use to make it louder

With a legit rack power amp of some kind? Or into big iron effect return? Gonna sound huge.

Thanks!
My first go-round with Synergy was some years ago. I was running the modules into a Boss TTE.
I didn’t quite like it cause I was missing having a Presence control.
This time around I got the Syn 50 and yes, to me it punches as well as my other 50 watt heads.
I wish this stuff was around during my band days.

Sounds good! The JMP is not really my style, but I love the JCM800 module. The Killer Kali is in that neighborhood, which I love also.

Yeah, the Synergy stuff relies heavily on what power amp you use with it. I dont think any of my Synergy stuff sounds any less than the big heads, when ran with a comparable power amp.

I have my JMP module off the torpedo cab and going into my avatar 4x12 with greenies and weber 65's and it sounds fantastic. I thought it lacked before going into a V30 cab but it delivers with the right cab. It needed volume like the real deal and is close enough for me that I am sending my bugera 1960 packing and no longer thinking of picking up a reissue 1959. It really is close enough once you dial it in.

I know they are doing AI poweramps now BUT the play has always been a modular poweamp to capture the feel of high gain, lower/looser gain, and British/ American layout. That would be broad enough to capture the feel of real amps. That and negative feedback settings to loosen it up. Then it would be as close as it needs to be.

Yeah, the old Randall system had the right idea by having the big power amp with several tube types, many switchable things, etc... problem is, they are huge, heavy, and complicated. Many people dont want that these days.
