He wanted me to crank the treble pot on my Marshall, but didn't say where he wanted the other pots to be, so i cranked bass and mids too and left the presence pot on 5. Any complaints? @Techdeth

Your clip sounds good. I get it; not everyone likes dimed presence. I first did it after my first SLO. Copied EVHs settings and then the amp came alive...boosted it, and really killed it after that. Some amps are meant for boosting.

Thanks. Yeah, absolutely. I tried diming the presence today, like you said. Not for me. But i had the presence higher than 5 too. Depending on the other settings.

This is sort of what I do on my Mesa Mark III. Turn the presence up and drop the 6600 slider. I picked up that trick from one of @GJgo videos.

Have you noticed mark iii's can be a bit noisy being that you run the treble on 10 graphic treble and gain blasted or did I just get the luck of the draw?? Seems my experience is that mark iii's are hissy compared to more modern amps

How do you normally set your amps EQ? Compared to your usual clips the amp seems to have some more clarity and bite to it and actually sounded tighter with these new EQ settings.

That has nothing to do with being a MKIII, just amp to amp variance on tube amps. ...and maybe your settings.
