Hell yeah! I was a little worried at first when Creed did they're reunion tour, but in the long run I think it was a good thing. Now Tremonti has Creed to unload any crappy filler and he can save the good music for AB. And Myles is 800 times the singer that that other guy is. ;)

Song was pretty cool and much better than a lot of the "popular" radio stuff from Disturbed, Nipple Crack, etc. For me though and my tastes I can't say I agree with the best band in rock thing but those bands aren't "popular" or get much if any air play. Cool listen though and thanks for posting.

Devin Townsend Project IS the best thing in rock right now, Addicted has opened new grounds for Devin and a larger more diverse following.

Too bad the fucking dumb american public is too drunk from AI and Clear Channel programming

I agree. Devin is AMAZING! I was speaking more for the popular stuff. AB blows away any of the crap you hear on the radio. Shit, even they can't hold a label or get popular in America. I really think the general music listening public here are just stupid or just don't have the ability to get deep into music or recognize real talent. They want their processed, boring ass music force fed to them and that's why pickle sack are huge rock stars and Devin Townsend is only known amongst an elite crowd.

Kinda silly, Creed sold over 35 million albums, and AB is just over a million. Which is why they tour overseas more than anything.

If they could play Supercrush on mainstream radio for one week it would launch hard, that song is just killer in all aspects.

Thank god for the internet so I can find good stuff to listen to.

I LOVE Supercrush! When Addicted came out, I emailed that song to my old singer and we geeked out on it for like two weeks.  My favorite bands/artists are guys like Dev, Karnivool(listen if you haven't yet), Aic, Tool, Airbag, Skywind, you know, really atmospheric and kind of experimental stuff, but with a hard driving rock/metal sound. I'm always the loner of my friends who likes the "weird" bands and I get into arguments with people who think pickle crack and Hinder are amazing. :bleh:

Sometimes I like to rock out to Alter Bridge though because they ride that line of good quality hard rock and mainstream, but it's never cheesy. And their song "Blackbird" is a rock masterpiece. Such a good song with a good meaning. No bs, just quality songwriting.

I think Alterbridge made Tremonti a much better lead player too. I always loved his rhythms but he took the lead stuff to a new level with AB. Even on the new Creed tour if you watch some of the live stuff, he rips it up!

Myles Kennedy played in Sadus.
A live musican only, but still!
Sadus!!

Steve DiGiorgio, who`s played bass with everyone, played bass in Sadus :D

Sounds good! And I like this much better than anything I`ve ever heard from Devin Towsnend.

I think Mark has always been this good, he was simply unable to be creative in Creed. Myles is far and away one of, if not rock's best, current vocalist. Can't wait for this album to be released...hopefully there is another gem like Blackbird on here...that is one of the best songs EVER written.

I'm not a big AB fan but I'd rather listen to marathons of their albums then Devin Townsend :bleh: I don't get the love afair that some people around here have with that guy

The only Heavy DEVY I have heard was Strapping young Lad.

I heard that song on a local station in NJ. 89.5 WSOU, college station out of Seton Hall. But they're been playing metal since the 80's.

It's because he's amazing. :D He doesn't know what the concept of a filler is. I listened to an Alter Bridge CD for a while and half the songs were fillers IMHO. Just average stuff at best to me. I'd put Alter Bridge there with Shinedown. They're another decent band but their records are filled with dull songs that when you listen to them you'll swear you've heard the song already from someone else dozens of times. At least that's what i got.

Devin Townsend writes some of the most original music I've ever heard. But if he doesn't float your boat then it's all good.

But damm, this is some cool shit.

AB kicks ass. way better than creed IMO. Devy has some amazing metal grooves and riffs. I just cant get past his vocal style
