I would have been over this weekend James but it got kinda crazy at my place with the kids and all...runnin everywhere so finally said screw it and sat onthe couch watching football instead!! You rock Bill. Things are coming together. Built a guitar cab tent and tracked some guitars last night. Sounds amazing and dead silent outside. Maybe we can all get together this weekend

I talked to Tom (the electrician) this morning...he said it was CRAZY at your place!! LOL Said there were people EVERYWHERE! (Said you were a really nice guy but there were some pretty STRANGE people over there! LOLOLOL) I told him..."Hey they are musicians....what ya expect!" LOLOLOL I am sure we are all pretty wierd to a 60 year old retired guy right??

We hung most all the acoustic panels last night and room sounds great. Also a guitar cab tent with gobos and moving blankets and tracked some guitars last night that not only came out killer but you couldn't hear the amp outside the house and I was cranking my 100 Marshall. We are getting there, another few days of putting the little stuff away and organizing and we should be rockin.

On another note I absolutely love Raleigh and where I live is the perfect balance of country and city and really suits me.

p.s. Studer stayed behind.

If I lived close, I would be over in a heartbeat to help you out.

Lookin' awesome James! The studio's coming together so quick, lots of nice people out there helping you out. Seems like this is gonna work out great. It's nice to see all the updates, makes it not feel like you're gone!

Very cool! I would look into a dehumidifier for the summer if that has not already been done. NC is a whole new ballgame compared to SoCal in the humiditiy department. I am guessing you already knew that though.

Yeah I will get one.

Here's a vid of us getting guitar sounds.

Well it looks like we are ready to go, it took 12 days but I worked out all the bugs; gear, sound proofing, treatment, guitar and bass sounds, vocals etc. At the end of the day the hardest thing with this move was not the console that was a breeze it was ironing out the drums. We've spent the past few days mixing and matching cymbals, mics, placement, drum tuning etc... Today I got some of the best drum tracks I've ever gotten. What a learning experience, drums have always kind of intimidated me and I always had my session guys but here I'm new so much of the journey I took on my own with help from Tarik the drummer out here. I bought a full array of cymbals so for the first time I own the entire drum set up soup to nuts. So that is it, I'm taking tomorrow off and Monday it's time to get busy.
