i gotta check their albums out, i was just too immersed in everything else when they were huge to pay much attention.

You know I never really listened to this band back when they were new because I remember hearing that they were just a parody 80's band kind of like Steel Panther, it;s only recently I've been trying to give them a second listen.

Justin's an extremely talented dude. One Way Ticket to Hell... and Back is my favorite The Darkness album.

Check out the band he put together after The Darkness broke up.

Really like Bald and Knockers from One Way Ticket…”I love what you’ve done with your hair..oh yeah”

Love them! They're a great band and a lot of fun. In addition to their old stuff which I like best, they continue to consistently put out solid records.

Yes that was my impression also. I remember friends saying they liked them but it was all a bit of a joke. I’m still unsure how much of a parody band they were back then.

They're not and never really were a parody band. They did pay tribute to 80s, really more 70s, rock and glam and were kind of rebelling against the whole "no guitar solo" thing in the early 00s. Justin is also a very funny guy (dry British sense of humor) and much of their music can be tongue in cheak and have a lot of double entendres in it.

My band used to cover this one. I'm a pretty good singer, but not that good. Fortunately, the other guitarist had more range and really nailed the vocals. I just got to sit back and play all those tasty riffs and fun solos. Easily one of the most fun and crowd-engaging covers I've ever played.

Talented dude. His brother did one of the best Marshall videos ever as to how to run an superlead….

get your hands offa my woooooman muthafucccckkaaaaa

this was a great party album back in that era.
That’s my fav song on the album . But Growing on You being about genital warts and people think he’s talking about a girl is so fuvking funny

They are serious . They live how Rick was and live it that way

No one would believe me but I can sing this song really good . I just can’t play and sing so I don’t sing . But I’ve done it at band practice . But I also started out singing king diamond songs as a kid . And I can sing the fuck out of that shit . But when I grew up everyone hated metal with high vocals . So no one wanted me to do it . So I just never did . One thing about nailing vocals like this is to hit these notes it’s really loud at times . I’d LOVE to sing for a band like that once for a single or EP . I’d have a blast
