In the end what 162 allowed me to do...... and luck thanks to my Dads advice to use the number since there are 162 games in a season.....is to synthesize the math to something easy and practical......

Something simple and elegant.......

[(Players WAR average over 5 seasons)/(Projected WAR for next season)]

It allowed me to see and understand that only players with a 1.5 or higher WAR for 60% or more out of 5 seasons make a difference and are worth a damn.....

Using this you only filter the players that offer that and have a projection higher than 1.5 WAR 60% of the time over 5 seasons or this can also help you see that a projection may be wrong and you can give a player a second consideration.

Once you plug in the numbers any player below .7 is not consistent or overvalued in some cases, any player above .8 is decent and a player that will perform shy of projections but still decent, .9 and close to 1 means a player is set to meet projections or come close to them and 1 or above 1 is undervalued in some cases or a player that is set to meet projections or out pace them most likely....... TLDR: Pretty much filtering and assigning an F, D, C, B, A or A+ grade to the value of a player.

The Reigning NL MVP.......on pace for 107 HRs hitting a HR every 2 out of 3 games now....... Sho-Me the Money 😎

He's wasn't a very tall guy, 5' 8" and still made that catch. He was kind of a stumpy little man but he always had .300+ batting average. Lifetime .318. Watch the '91 series documentary. Kirby told the team before one game "I'm gonna carry you guys on my back" and proceeded to kick some ass. It's almost like he willed them to win. Another thing that might be of interest to you is the metrodome at capacity was screaming loud, 125dB during the 87 series. A lot of teams had trouble functioning in that environment.
Yeah that stadium was loud as hell....... and that is some crowd.

Looking at Pucketts WAR numbers too they are pretty impressive and they were well above 1.5 and 2.5-3.0+ or higher season after season and year after year and some break out seasons especially that 86, 92 and 88 which were all pretty damn good seasons especially that 88 and I think he was a contender for MVP or should have been a contender that season for sure.

Pretty much just a real Mr. Consistent in production.

Looking at that impressive 88 season too only 3 other position players were better in the AL and MLB overall...... and that is some pretty impressive company and gives you an idea of just how awesome a player like this was aside from his other seasons like 91 which were also pretty good even relative to todays standards or other players of his time.

Mets offense once again non existent.
Give them time to find their groove......

Let's remember it's the 1st game of the season...... 161 games left to go....... And this goes for any team.....

Let the stats bake in ^_^

Why does Rafael Devers look like a really deformed/contorted Leaning Tower of Pisa in the box AB..... does he want to be in Boston anymore and self sabotaging his own team :dunno:

Sarah Edwards........ making a difference for women and young girls on and off the field........

One thing you won't see in the numbers or any stat as to what drives a player and a person like Sasaki...... and why this kid isn't just set on ROY and is here in the States on the field for more than that or any piece of hardware....

Japanese pitcher Roki Sasaki is just days away from announcing which team he will make his Major League Baseball debut with, and he is expected to do so as soon as the international signing period opens on January 15.

In order to establish himself in Japanese baseball and be on the verge of making the jump to MLB, Sasaki had to overcome a family tragedy, after losing his father and grandparents when he was nine years old, during a devastating earthquake that hit Japan in 2011......
Roki Sasaki established himself as a pitcher with the Chiba Lotte Marines and at some point in his career shared his experience at Zozo Marine Stadium

"It has been 11 years, but I cannot easily erase the agony and sadness I felt at that time. I have been able to devote myself to baseball thanks to the support I have had. I only have a feeling of gratitude to those who supported me," Sasaki said in 2022, in a message in which he told the public, "I want you to appreciate and not take for granted the things you have now and the valuable people around you."

2 billion dollar offense

I want quick results lol

Keep in mind too they are playing against a top tier team..... but more than not for the rest of the season they will be in more WIN NOW ready positions than most teams short of the Dodgers and others given that offense.

So I mean you know just take it as it comes.... and just have fun this season however it comes. Nothing is guaranteed but just be patient and watch it unfold.

More likely than not they should at least hold out till All-Star Break if not do better given that offense...... and then you know they are getting more arms then too when it comes time to cross that bridge.

Astros are down but have to give it up to Cam Smith for that take...... OBP is as good as AVG and getting on base however you do whether getting hit or by a ball or a making hit or however the hell matters...... that was pretty dirty too but it ain't fooling this young gun ^_^

What I like about the Mets.....

Aside from that Big Bat Energy....... from young guns of nvm Luis Angel Acuna..... or yeah Juan Soto as a "Young Gun".......

You have real vets like Pete Alonso encouraging the youth with all his heart, soul and love for them and the game as they were his own son or blood. It's hard to explain but aside from the obvios stats/analytics saying this team will make it to the end without a doubt.....

It's the intangibles a leader and a player like that brings to even someone as badass as Juan Soto...... sometimes it's the stats/analytics and sometimes it's the intangibles with players or sometimes its both with a player, team or a season especially relative to others but you can say official captain or not...... Alonso makes a bigger difference on the Mets meeting projections or not for reasons not really explained by stats/analytics/numbers or whatever other bullshit.....

Seeing this game it's hard to explain and I'm sure Lindor fosters as much for the next generation but what I saw in the 8th of this game between Alonso and Acuna really shows what intangibles mean and how they matter and make a difference to make plays like that...... and to win games.

And I dont agree with it or the stupid ass contract...........and maybe he wont fullfil his full contract..... as expected or to expectations....... but this is what a WIN NOW player gets you for at least the next 3-5+ seasons......

Nvm the Bat-Flip....... tip of the hat to yourself Soto.......

And this is when you have 20+ WIN NOW PLAYERS ONE AFTER ANOTHER AND ANOTHER.... not sure if it's fair but yeah.... WHO GIVES A FUCK AS LONG AS YOU WIN NOW..... might as well be WWE or ECW or something right :dunno::LOL:

The Kids' Real MLB 2025 Power Rankings ....... Final top 12......... Will update as the season approaches or move the list around but in general once it gets going that doesn't happen unless something big changes......

The Kids Real MLB 2025 Top 12 Power Rankings Update March 14th 2025.....

Based off Total Team WAR, Starting Pitching rotations projections and the WAR-Ratio as a baseline along with other factors and considerations for teams with most likelihood and highest likelihood of making postseason for 2025.......

My Rankings are more accurate and to a lower margin of error when it came to my Regular Season and Post Season Power Rankings in the 2023 season vs the "experts"......they actually reflected performance by teams better than MLB/ESPN/Verlander/The-Ringer.... as good as the "experts" in 2024 and I don't have a full department of people and "professionals" or "experts" like Ken Rosenthal running around a floor of 500 people and a nationwide network of hundreds if not thousands of reporters and journalist..........

It's just me, my WAR-Ratio method and other factors and considerations, basic stats available to everyone and a little bit of calculus along with my Ti-84+ calculator.......thats it......you heard it here first.......
