I would pull the JJ and get SEDS in there .. JJ are known to be darker by nature
Put more of your amp in the monitor ..you guys may just have too much mids that you cant tell who is who ..you may need to complement more Ie/ low mids if he is in the highs

just my opnions

Just for shits, try this. Switch cabs for a night and see if that helps. Unless you guys have the same speakers, then it wont matter. But really, your amp should have no problems even against the all mighty cutting splawn.

Have you tried recording the band? You will get a better idea what's going on in the mix!

Make sure that you're running enough high end in addition to the mids. If it sounds good to you while playing unaccompanied then you probably aren't.

Having presence set so low would be a factor as well.

Get a Greenback 412 and check back later. :)

On another note: There is no ONE amp. If you want to save yourself from going from one amp to another, get two. When your ears get tired, switch amps for a bit and go back later.

THIS IS GOSPEL!!!

I've experienced the same thing. Makes you fall in love with your favorite amp(s) all over again over and over.

Too bad that such a "system" wasn't a common practice in marriage! ;)

And it is wise to have several speaker cabs loaded with different speakers. Changing speakers will drastically change your tone and give you some excitement when your ears grow tired.
