I don't see Iran falling without a nuclear weapon used on them. Israel and USA started a war by killing their pope, murdering little girls by double tapping missile striking a school and then sinking sailors on a ship and not even offering aid. The Nazis wouldn't have done that.

Iranians have nowhere to go and they're mostly unified. They're backed into a corner with no option but to fight to the death. What would you expect out of an animal?

At the most basic; what do you expect people to do when you murder their children, family or friends? If I kill your kids are you going to try and kill me? I would expect that. Don't fuck with peoples kids. Seems universal to me.

Iran has excellent artillery, drones, missile systems and other conventional weaponry. This isn't Afghanistan where the Taliban had IEDs and guns to fight with. Did you see how that worked out? The terrain is hell on earth from every pundit I've heard. There's nothing good that is going to come from this.

I don't see things working out well for the navy or the first waves of troops. People don't want to see Americans sacrificed. You ever see those drone strike videos on youtube from the Russia-Ukraine war? We might be watching Americans and Iranians getting blown up on youtube in a few weeks.

Outside of an American and Israeli surrender I don't see this stopping. The Iranians are fighting to the death.

Good analysis. A ground invasion of Iran is a suicide mission.

I agree that the option of declaring victory and withdrawing is the best option. However, there is the small matter that Iran may not allow that to happen. For a war to end, both parties must agree to end it.

At this point, Iran may see more benefit to drawing the war out and extracting concessions by causing pain to the global economy. All to send the message to the world that they are not to be fucked with again.

Interesting piece from 60 minutes about lasers, developed and can shoot down drones. But there aren't many of them built and they're all on the Mexican border shooting down drug packin drones.
This is what i thought the US might have available for use in Iran....rather than a multi million dollar missle to take down a cheap plastic drone, $5 worth of energy thru a laser could do the same job.
It would be great news to hear they are shipped to the persian gulf and taking out drones by the dozens.

I don't have a great understanding of the military and I just tell people the truth that I never served. I hope I don't convey moral authority. This isn't some chance to make myself feel good about Canadian superiority. I have a bad feeling about all this and I don't want to see peoples kids getting killed.
