Interesting piece from 60 minutes about lasers, developed and can shoot down drones. But there aren't many of them built and they're all on the Mexican border shooting down drug packin drones.
This is what i thought the US might have available for use in Iran....rather than a multi million dollar missle to take down a cheap plastic drone, $5 worth of energy thru a laser could do the same job.
It would be great news to hear they are shipped to the persian gulf and taking out drones by the dozens.

I think I've seen what you're talking about and I think we'll see some interesting new weapons used on both sides. Unfortunately they're going to be used on people. I don't think Iran is going to be easy. I'd rather see a diplomatic and peaceful solution to this than waste American lives and tax dollars.

I don't have a great understanding of the military and I just tell people the truth that I never served. I hope I don't convey moral authority. This isn't some chance to make myself feel good about Canadian superiority. I have a bad feeling about all this and I don't want to see peoples kids getting killed.

- Afghanistan lasted 20 years and cost $2.3

- Iran is MORE than DOUBLE that population. with a REAL military
- Thousands of American troops come home in body bags

OPTION 3:

NUCLEAR
- Bomb Iran with nukes
- Risk global destruction
- Russia and China have BOTH warned they won't stand by
- The entire world turns against America overnight
- Civilization as we know it — OVER

Too bad Israel has this much control over the US government.

I'm against deploying any US ground forces. Ship self-defense systems exist, as do wide-area drone defense systems...why they weren't deployed initially to our allies around the Straights of Hormuz is an obvious oversight.

I'm more concerned with orcs and islamists within our own borders; deporting them should be the top priority.


It's about time the US and UK cleaned up their mess from the 1953 coup in Iran. But doing it for / under direction of Israel? SMH.
