The Rev F is still the greatest high gain amp ever made.

I don't agree with you at all, respectively. But that is a nasty fucking tone, my friend.

Haha it’s just a clickbait title of course! But yes, 100 percent kidding. Although for me, especially in a track, it very rarely gets beat by another amp I own, they just sound so insane on tape, really amazing.

There is a reason that they are a staple of metal. It isn't a gimmicky amp. It just sounds right.

Great clip! I agree! I’ve got myself a Rev D Dual and Rev F/C modded Triple and my D would be probably my 2nd or 3rd favorite amp I’ve had for metal. I actually get even more of that sledgehammer effect from my Rev 1 Uberschall (I’d rank it just one spot higher for my taste), but it’s not as raw or growly as my Recto’s

I sometimes want my old Uber back, I just didn’t feel like the low end was nearly as good to me personally. It definitely had alot of it, but it just felt like it was more in the sub lows than in the gut punch area like the recto is. But I’ve learned a lot since I owned one, maybe worth revisiting.

It has a lot of sub lows (although not as much as my Megalith Beta). I find it's low end to be better than my Recto's personally. I can't say about recording (as that's not my forte right now), but it's one of my favorite amps. You probably already know this, but I had to dial it in kinda the opposite of how I dial in most other amps. I also have it biased lower than where the manual would recommend (you also already know this I'm sure. Makes it tighter and clearer). I find it to be in some ways my most brutal or cartoon-like amp. It there ever was a 6 powertube version I think it would definitely beat my triple and coliseums at their own game. I didn't like the other version Uber's much and not really a Bogner fan in general, but this 1st Rev to me at least is something else. I should also add I was a bit disappointed at first when I got it because of the JJ KT77's it came with, but with literally any of the EL34's I tried it with (which is all basically lol) it came alive and more ballsy. I found the best results in it to be with Winged C EL34's and for pre's Winged C's or Beijing Foil Getter's equally good (just depends what flavor you want). Will hopefully hear it in a recording context pretty soon in one of my friend's re-amps

Killer tone, wow.

It sounds smooth overall but has a raw grind and metallic "clang" that gives it a really aggressive character. Sounds like granularity of the gain is right where it should be and is one of the major contributing factors to what makes it sound so good. Very nice.

Recto rules!!!
Were you ever able to compare the RevF to the newer MultiWatt?

I love the Rev F.

Just imagine if they sounded that good WITHOUT a pedal out front?

It would be the best high gain channel on earth in my opinion for sure. But what’s wonderful about it is, what you all already know. You can shape the input however you want due to how pedals hit the front end of the amp and the filtering, it’s pretty great as a blank canvas for high gain.

I think that sounds excellent but best I'm not sure about that

Also that looser stock wall of sound it has can be just right for some styles, so cool to have that flexibility

I have not. I’ve heard people say they sound almost identical, or can be made to do so as the rev F’s, but I have my extreme doubts on that for sure.
They can't. The early 2 channel's are like the fresh squeezed oj and the multi-watts are like the tropicana version. Same flavor, not the same quality
