Thought this was funny. The epitome of self flaggelation.

Everyone is so upset with AI generated music. They call it slop. But it's not slop. And that's the real problem. It's too damned good. It wasn't long ago when I would listen to the radio or whatever, and I'd hear a song that just connected. It felt like that song was written just for me. Now, I don't listen to new music at all. I create songs on Suno and every single song is just for me. It's all I listen to now. I have over 200 songs on a flash drive and that's what I listen to in the car when I'm driving. I write my own lyrics, so every song is something I connect to because I wrote the damned thing. I no longer need to listen to the radio, waiting to hear that one magical song that will really hit home for me. I have a flash drive full of songs that I wrote and every one of them is perfect for me. This is not just a case of real musicians facing competition. This is a case of real musicians facing a level of competition that they can't hope to overcome. I can envision a time when nearly everyone has a plethora of songs written just for them, created by AI, and with no real musicians involved at all. This, to me, seems like a sad future and I readily admit that I am very much a part of its making. I'm not going to stop creating these songs for myself. So yes, I'm part of the problem. And I'm selfish enough not to want to lose this ability. I love the songs I have created with Suno. They hold meaning for me. I poured my soul into the lyrics. But I can certainly understand why so many people are so vehemently against Suno and other AI music generators. Suno is still the best, but the others will catch up and when they do, it could truly be a death blow to real musicians.

I don't know about you guys, but I've never sat around listening to my own music when I did record. The only time I listened to one of my tunes was when I was showing it to a buddy of mine. These guys generate songs and listen to them because modern music sucks. I can agree with that.

I listen to music from the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s, so I never have to worry about accidently listening to shitty AI garbage. There are also tons of obscure rock from these eras, many which are killer that never got the recognition they deserved.

I also noticed on that sub that people will not listen to each other's music lol. The ones that post their songs rarely crack more than 3 likes and 99% have no comments. They only want to listen to their own generated music lol.

I've listened to some, usually not all the way through and honestly it's amusing as hell. Especially the ones that have an AI generated video along with the song. They are pretty bad.

Honestly I'm all for it. It's a good laugh. Am I a dick? lol.

They are demented. I got permanently banned from there because I was on some forum asking about something, some guy kept talking a bunch of nonsense, kept telling him thanks but that's not helpful, guy kept being increasingly passive aggressive so I eventually told him to fuck off, then he pulls some "HAHA! I'M ACTUALLY THE HEAD MODERATOR OF THIS FORUM POSTING UNDER AN ALT!" and he permabanned me lol
