Years ago I did a deep dive after previously being duped by western protestant lies about jews still be a chosen people/nation. That was nearly a universal teaching in their churches until very recently. A plain reading of the Torah shows none of that can be true because they, as a nation, did not uphold the covenant they agreed to.

Strange, I was brought up Lutheran and also spent a lot of time around catholics. Never heard any Christians claim that the Jews are god's chosen people. I think some may believe they were. Before Christ and the new covenant.

It's not really stated openly during services but it is a part of how they view jews/israel in their theology in many instances, hence the heavy backing of the Israeli state by the bigger name pastors and churches in the evangelical world. You never struck me as particularly interested in religion or theology so it would be something overlooked if you hadn't done any looking. Edit: or not raised in the evangelical church.

I don't pay attention to what vendors or gun forum guys say. I say HKs and IWI are high grade shit because I HAVE had them in the mud and rain and thousands of rounds without cleaning. Hundreds of hours of hard use classes. I've seen them perform flawlessly when other guns failed.

I was brought up in a Lutheran school until I was kicked out in 8th grade. I have studied the bible and I'm fairly up to speed on most conventional Christian religions. And until I got into the political realm, I never once heard Christians heeping any kind of praise on Jews.

The Jews believe Christ to be a prophet... nothing more. They could've have chosen to spare him... but they did not.

I haven't cleaned my AK in about five years it still goes boom. I do think the Germans innovated more than anyone. Saive (well he's Belgian) essentially pioneered the modern sporting rifle and finished off the hi-power which is still the basis for many pistols. His successor finalized the FN MAG which is still a design in service since the early 50's. If you want to say Israeli's have made some nice guns I wouldn't disagree.

I think you are mistaking what you did or didn't hear in church as did/didn't view them as the chosen people. A quick google search turns up a variety of theological perspectives among lutheran orgs.

As you know each Catholic parish is driven by their head priest and in my case our priest regularly said the Jews were the chosen ones.

I was young so I can't say for certain whether he was mocking that claim or was serious. I thought he was serious.
