This isn’t one you guys right ?

"I wonder if he knows this gig only pays $50/man+tips?"🤡

It's just funny because this isn't a "rig" in any actual definition

As a fully self-service home masturbation machine? Totally badass, and even aesthetically pleasing if you like computer screens, im sure

But calling it a "Rig" like you're going to go gig with it is fucking clown world.

It's likesaying you and your homies race for pinks and pulling up in this

I didn’t see anything about this being a rig for small clubs with limited setup times, it looks to be in a studio. If I walked into a studio and saw that rig in the corner, I’d want to play it, not challenge the owner to a set up time race lol

*PAUL WALL "STILL TIPPIN" BOOMS FROM THE TRUNK ROCKFORD FOSGATE 15's"

"You'll need mudflaps for that to pass your vehicle inspection, son"

If I walked into a studio and saw that I would be all "Okay Fluff, who's youtube channel is this gay video going on, because this obviously isn't a real recording studio, because I've both recorded and worked at real recording studios"

It reminds me of something an attorney would plug his 15k private reserve into, bang out a few power chords, get bored with his playing, shut it off, and put the guitar back in the glass case in his office and then go poast on TGP about how amazing the rig is and how he's finally satisfied. Emotional new gear day.

The wife says I need to scale down my library rig, there just isn't enough room. Can someone put in touch with that German guy Larry Dumble or whatever...

The sad part is everything in the pic is stuff you WOULD find in a studio, just not arranged in an instagram aesthetic way like that, or that you would call your "rig"

The fractal would be racked in the desk

The triaxis and sim 2 90 would be gathering dust in a storage closet somewhere

The Rectos and cabs would be on metal racks or storage closets until they needed to be used for something specifically, then would get moved to an iso room

the pedals would be in a rubbermaid tub collecting dust until they were used for a specific purpose

Basically everything would be separate, at literally all times, and being stored someplace out of the way until it was actually needed for a project

It's like instagram and youtube have created this fantasy-land where every studio is a clean, anodyne, personalized space where one super mega rockstar sips on perrier and makes crushing metal riffs, it's delusional

I would never want that monstrocity, but the thing that surprises me is the people defending jt when two of the speakers are blocked by cabs in front. It just looks set up for a pic and not for really playing. Take out the goofy 2x12s, and have a 4x12 on each side, it actually looks useable

And unless he's hiding the entire bands click tracks and IEM rack, headphone mixer, etc in that Triaxis rack case, removing the laptop lol

There's a reason everyone who gigs is gonna balk at this, that's a huge failure point waiting to happen

The amps and cabs? Totally bitchin

Even using the fractal as like an effects unit with the amps and cabs? Also bitchin, though overkill

Adding the Rack setup TO both the amps AND the fractal and laptop? And like 35 2x12s? We've entered the clown zone

Damnnnn Dannnn… Sadly you’re correct.. The next generation will walk into functional studios, & take it for granted yet be blown away by the aesthetic/LEDs in a set up like this & give that guy their business.. Atleast that’s my prediction of the future..

After some deep investigating, I've discovered what band this guy is in...

Tragically though, he's the drummer.
Are you serious? Vagine de porkrind’s rig… wtf

I could use one 2x12 and a head and be done. I'd take the 2:90 and triaxis and a 2x12 and find a way

That's the actual version of this as an actual rig

Like one of the heads, one of the cabs, and the FM9 as your "pedalboard" and "direct to FOH" or something like that

Or the rack axefx, triaxis, 290, and whatever controller you would need to use the axe as your main FX unit

what’s everyone’s feelings regarding 2x12 vs 4x12 jamming / recording? I’m curious..

depends on which 4x12 and which 2x12, and for what purpose?

If you're playing in a funk covers band im sure the 2x12 is fine

If you're playing in a metal band that's big enough to have good sound reinforcement all the time i'm sure it's fine too

But most of the time if you're playing rock/metal/punk you're best served with a 4x12

In a recording situation, it also depends on the genre and tone you're going for, but you're generally only micing one speaker at a time so it isn't as big of a deal

Normally people have a single "favorite" speaker that they mic whether its a 4x12,2x12, 1x12, or 8x12

I wish I had a Twin Reverb because they are 2x12
I understand this.

It's one giant failure point waiting to happen. I honestly hate having more than four or five pedals just because you've now introduced more failure points than I care to sort through in event of problems before a show.

Depends on how solid your pedalboard game is, honestly, but yeah you're asking for trouble either way once you get above 4-5 pedals for sure

It's funny because you can always tell the "i just started doing this" guitarists with their gigantic 2' by 4' pedalboards with the three strymons and 5 different fuzz pedals, and the "i literally have been doing this for decades" guitarists because they will have the most streamlined, idiotproof rigs imaginable
