You were warned in no uncertain terms:

As I've said to IBR a few times, don't come in here trashing the place and members and expect any sort of respect in the long term. If you wanna be universally-hated, have at it. It's not for me to tweak the minutia of your behaviour, especially in a "free" forum. I'm just the guy with the hammer. :dunno:

Remember that last comment please. Heads-up: We mods don't tolerate disrespect towards us. Trash us the way you've trashed others and you'll be out-on-your-ass.
... and then you did it:

Fuck you and the scum you allow to run this shit hole for you.
Lie. Nobody runs it for me. The owner has allowed the freedom to pretty-much run it as the mods see fit, which is how it should be IMHO.

The only lying going on is from you.
Lie.

Calling People “faggots” ”cock suckers” “queers” “cock smokers” is being respectful of others?
Straw man; I said "respectful to the mods", something you're doing the opposite of. Good luck with that.

For the record, I myself have never called anyone any of these names, either here, on the internet at-large or IRL.

You’re no moderator you’re the Uber asshole here.
Funny, I've never been called an asshole in my life. Seriously. Congratulations.

So... there can only be one inevitable consequence in this case:

Bant! :banhim::gethim:

Whoa, whoa, whoa! Back up you dopey cunt.
Is your head that far up your arse?
Hes got lefttards and right wing fags spewing their unrelenting numbnutted dumb fuckery like the dopey little fucksticks they are and seems to give both ends of the spectrum a fair go, as stupid as both ends are.

Some of the dopiest, most retarded, whiny little soft cocks Ive ever read are on this subforum, theyre all dumb fucks and theyre all given an equal voice no matter how fucking stupid they are.

I feel like you need to reconsider your target here.

Have a great day.
Best compliment I've received in a while man. Thank you! :cheers2:

I have zero to add to this, but I wanted to point out ( as if you didn't already know) that your user name is one of 3 Rolling Stones songs that are fantastic. The rest range from moderately entertaining to completely unlistenable. Monkey Man is bad ass though. I spent a long time trying to cop Keef's tone on that one. I own his favorite amp ( '61 Fender Brown Deluxe) and some American Telecasters. I got pretty close, but tone really is in the fingers I guess because I didn't quite nail it. Oddly enough, through the same amp with another American Tele, I got eerily close to Clapton's tone on the Hyde Park version of Can't Find My Way Home.

Anyway, I fucking love Monkey Man. Always reminds me of the scene in Goodfellas where Henry is driving around with all that coke and looking up at the helicopters.

Indeed I do know mate, but only 'cause it was pointed out to me 10 years after I made the name up.

I've used it for over 20 years now, ever since the very-first forum I joined and it's the only name I've ever used on the intermanets... and no, I've never had an "alt".

Thanks for sharing that story mate; it was a brief-but-entermataining read.

No problems...............you seem like a real cunt so we'll get along just fine.

So, back to work.................GO FUCK YOURSELF!
Classic! Too-funny man.

ANSWER: What is the secret to early ZZ Top tone?

Ever had a chance to try Suhr's homage to one?

No I haven't. Looks a lot prettier than mine, but dude, the tone is amazing. Pair of Blackplates, Cream 90 and some Bugle Boys. It's kept me from looking for anything else.

Train Kept a Rollin, Rock Candy, and Waiting on the Bus was the first ever set my band played live.

set - all instrumental and not exactly faithful
band - three 12-13 years old hacks
live - a mom's friend's burger joint on a dead afternoon (first and last band to ever play there :ROFLMAO:)

Anyway, the tone on those early ZZ records blew my young brain away.
For literally decades I thought it was Marshalls.

Slightly off topic, but my first band ( I was 15, but we had bar gigs) did Rock Candy. Also lots of Sabbath. No One at the Bridge by Rush, No Sugar Tonight/New Mother Nature, Satisfaction, Baby Blue, Bad Time by Grand Funk, bunch of originals. Eventually Sweet Child O Mine after it came out. By then I was back on bass. I didn't get into Reverend Gibbons until later. I'm rambling.

No One at the Bridge by Rush

I don't give a rat's ass if you have a large photo of Rush Limbaugh hanging over your bed,
this right here gets you 1,000,000 bonus cool points in my book!

That three piece actually got pretty good and became Rush FREAKS, ironically from randomly
buying Caress of Steel just cause the cover looked cool.

Bastille Day, Circumstances, The Trees, La Villa, 2112 Overture, Passage to Bangkok,
Xanadu, short section of Cygnus X1, and maybe a couple more I'm forgetting.

Ya, it's a kimono. It was the 70s - sue me.

That'd be fun to hear, for all the examples mentioned so far.
Originally this amp had an Oxford in it. My old man bought the amp for $100 in the early 70s. Then promptly used Kiwi shoe polish to make it black.

I inherited the amp and a '74 SG special sometime around 1980 and proceeded to blow that Oxfart to hell playing things like 100,000 Years and Watchin' You. By then I was a couple years into the bass and being 11 and not having a band, playing guitar seemed more fun to do by myself.
Anyway, the Oxford was replaced with a Utah which now resides in a box in a drawer next to the remains of my childhood dog that got hit by a school bus. It was swapped out for a UK made V30 which remained in it until a few years ago when they came out with the Cream 90. The Cream 90 brought that amp alive in my opinion. In between the V30 and the Cream 90 the amp sat idle mostly as I spent 20-25 years playing bass in hard rock three piece bands. When I started feeling stupid being a 50 year old dude jumping around like a retarded rheses monkey slamming out RATM and Deftones songs I sold off my bad ass PA rig, dissolved my band and went back to playing guitar at home for myself.

Is that an Ibanez or a Yamaha ?

Caress of Steel is still my favorite Rush album. I was a bonafide Rush freak. And a Bonafide Yes freak. Hence why I ended up with a '74 Rickenbacker 4001. Which remained my number one bass until 2015 when I bought a Spector NS4 Mike Starr Signature bass. Which is superior in every way to every bass I have ever owned with the possible exception of the Pedulla I never should have sold.

I can see Billy G writing the lyrics as I type this.
