Thoughts on the Fender Super Sonic 60?

Played one years ago and really liked it. For whatever reason I didn't buy it.

Was browsing Guitar Center online and saw one in fantastic condition for $499 so it is on the way.

Any experience with one?

There was a time I was heavily looking into getting a Super Sonic 100, I think I had demo'd a 22 at one point. Awesome cleans and a unique distortion channel, great find.

It's a 60 watt head. Not sure if it's a early or late model as they deleted the page after I placed the order.

Seems there were a few changes but mostly to the low gain side.
 
I played one years ago and remembered 'Wow, this is one of the first Fenders where the drive channel actually sounds great instead of a flurbling mess'.

If it's anything like a Prosonic it will kick fuckin ass

I always felt like my Prosonic head's drive channel was sort of like a Dual Rec mixed with a little Mrak - an absolute fuckload of gain available and super addictive ultra compressed feel that made shredding so easy

Normal channel was sort of like a darker, raunchier Super Reverb-type sound that could do a killer hard rock crunch if dimed, especially in class A mode

One of my favorite amps ever tbh
 
They're killer amps. I used to do pedal demos for a retailer and that was the clean platform that I used. The dirty channel also sounds excellent. I sometimes kick myself for selling it. Enjoy that thing!
