That is what I built them for, bedrooms and studios where space was an issue. The cool thing about a little amp with an FX loop thou is of course you can use it to drive any size poweramp.billboogie":2cfx429g said:I beleive these amps were intended for bedroom levels

Probably going to be a micro watt. When I plug in it wont even be heard unless mic'd.
Here is a pic of the prototype and the guy thats going to build it for me.

I just read 2 reviews in GuitarPlayer (the Rebel & the new 65 Amps Lil Elvis)....and all they really go into is this question of whether or not 5-15 watts can handle playing with a live band. We're almost through 2 pages on this thread and there's not one comparison to....say...the Vox NightTrain to the Mesa Transatlantic (or whatever).
Who'd have thought that 5 watt amp discussions would all involve nothing but how big a venue is?....

hehehe.....Awesome!
Somehow I'm prepared for someone to explain to us how great this would be for a stage amp through the proper cabinet.
billboogie":352a7bva said:1Big1 Go satisfy that!Try the Rebel20, or the Rebel30 if you need two channels. They are the most versitile IMO of all the small amps. If you put the tube mix @12o'clk on the R20 it's about 30watts and these sound great through a 2x12. Serial effects loop takes pedals well. Ain't nobody ever told me they hated the tone, nothing but compliments. I'd put clips up but I REALLY suck at it. Plenty of good ones on Youtube. Just a quick review from someone who has ran it hard for two years now. It's held up great.
Actually I am not surprised how this thread turned out. What I am surprised about is how much whether having more small amp models out is a trend or not. What I meant by trend is that amp manufacturers all seem to have to have a sub 15Watt model. That just didn't happen in the past. Sure they were small wattage amps, but not everyone had one.
