Tight Vs Saggy (Loose) amps

I see the need for both, there's nothing like some crazy sag like a Bogner or something for many types of guitar/music. Those amps also sound great for faster stuff but.....idk tighter/faster definitely has its place where the saggy amps lack.

We just need an amp that does both via footswitch.

IMO you can't. To me, a 'loose' amp sounds loose because when you pick hard you can hear the amp struggling to handle the load. Tight amps sound tight because when you pick hard the amp is still well within its comfort zone. In my experience anyway.

A man's got to have at least one of each I say

Disagree.... I have zero issues making a pre multiwatt dual rectifier sound tight and dynamic with no boost. Using picking technique alone. It IS the grand equalizer in the equation like it or not. I've proven it time and time again with amps in the roo, straight in. ?
