TM Axe-II Waitlist Update

Ok, I called and left a message, emailed Tiki, and PM'd Brad...

Has anyone heard ANYTHING from TM within the last 2 weeks???
 
I dont think Rob knows I think its a waiting game for all .
I am sure if Rob knew he would post in this thread talked with Cliff should ship this week.
Both times i have called and got Rob on the phone ..he was extremly polite ,but he only can tell ya what Cliff tells him

Somehow I'm not feeling that...Not to say he's not polite and a nice guy (I've never called him)...

There seems to be plenty of units coming out of Fractal these days...they're in stock right now at 1am eastern time...3 of them at that, plus 8 that are available right now for Fractal's Waitlist people.

IDK, things just aren't adding up...As a business owner I'm ecstatic when I get a big order from a dealer...even though I make less per unit, when the dealer orders in quantity it's a HUGE infusion of cash flow all at once...I can't imagine it's any different here...it doesn't make sense to have inventory sitting there like that...that's 11 units just chillin' right now...

I'm starting to wonder 'why' a manufacturer wouldn't be sending any product to a dealer when an order has been placed...especially when that dealer was allotted so many per month, but yet the manufacturer has stock on the shelf...
 
Yeah, I'm half joking because that happened to me last time I called, back when the email problems were happening. Give 'em a call.
 
I did, had to leave a message though...this whole thing just keeps getting worse...

The problem isn't with TM, it seems like Fractal Audio is playing favorites and only selling to it's own waitlist or "line jump" customers. The TM preorders were placed and money was exchanged in late May, before Fractal Audio ever insated a waitlist, and the European distributor has had another waitlist going since June, yet neither distributor is getting product.
 
Spoke with Tiki, very enlightening (and very polite!).
No units have arrived in quite awhile, no idea about future arrival dates.
 
I've emailed Rob and Tiki this week but haven't gotten an answer to my inquiries on some other matters. I hope they will get back to me soon enough. I should probably call though.
 
Well guys, it's been an experience, but I'm out of the presale list...just taking WAY too long...good luck to all though...you should all have been moved up a spot on the list...!
 
my update from TM:

"As of right now there are no further updates, sadly. We haven't received a shipment in quite sometime, so that means we should be getting one soon though. Again, i am extremely sorry for the long wait and i appreciate your patience. I will keep updatng you on any information that comes my way."
 
There is one big update .with a lonestar model a reworked Cameron .Plus the IR capture and a bunch of tweaks to the power amp modelling that Cliff is excited about.
My guess is when this release is done more units will ship with the new software .Hopefully before the end of the month
 
I don't think waiting for firmware 2.1 is a valid reason to withold shipments. We can do it ourselves in a few minutes at home. Firmware 1.5 and 2.0 happened in the last 2 months.

Besides, the coupon list and bribe stocks seemed to have been very healthy in the last 2 month despite the "parts shortage" that didn't seem to be much of an issue.

It really sucks for TM to be stuck in the middle of this. I hope they can get the rest of the units soon

Waiting for 2.1?
Units still flowing, the Fractal wait list, as well as the $2600 ones.
Maybe this thread irked someone? :scared:
 
Maybe you guys should consider the Kemper Profiling Amp as an alternative. Not only is this machine able to profile your best friends AFX II patches but also al the amps from TM.

Good luck on the wait. And remember the longer you wait the earlier the AFX III hits the market.
