As soon as Trump announced he was going to crack down on crime, the propaganda media all got in line to say that crime is actually down.
Of course the DC Chief of police is a DEI hire that knows nothing about law and order.

Cleaning up Washington DC is a good thing. We can argue on how it should be done, but the end result is good.

Unlike probably 100% of you here I grew up and lived in DC from the 70's through the early 90's, including when it was the "murder capital" of the US. There were plenty of safe areas then and it's even safer and far more bougie now. This shit is ridiculously overblown and nothing more than an unwarranted assertion of executive power. It's a total joke. DC is fine without Donald Trump and his federal goons.

So it’s safer now ? Wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that now it’s not just criminals that are allowed to carry guns.

I have no opinion on the feds taking over DC, other than pointing out it’s always been under federal authority. I can’t believe they ever even allowed the locals to pretend they were in control. They should have stamped that out when y’all re-elected Marion Barry.

There’s safe places in St. Louis too. And Gaza.
