Nice Job Mark!!! Great tone and excellent playing! Thanks for taking the time to make videos, it's much appreciated.

thanks for the vid and the explanation. i've got a bf-2 sitting around here somewhere? :lol: :LOL: nice playing btw! :rock:

I spoke to Ronni a couple of week ago.
He buys Marshall with consecutive serial numbers, because they are more likely to sound similar :D
And he only wants 50-watters. Very friendly guy. They even gave me and my friend a lift to the venue.
(Another friend of ours was filling in for Tony on a couple of gigs)

Thanks for the kind words. After hearing the other guys do this I went on a hunt for a BF2 and lucked out finding a mint one on Kijiji in Montreal.

Sounds great man :thumbsup:

Thanks Bro!

One thing I noticed about the BF2 trick is that the tone is quite a bit stiffer and less forgiving. At least that's how it was with my Mark III.

Most definitely but you can compensate for that when using a boost. Ronni used a boss od-1 and the Bf-2 before the amp and I find that when you do that, it cuts down some of the bass and stiffness.

I'm using Guitar-Koko Boost-BF2-Amp

Without the boost it is VERY stiff and hard to play.

Hmmm..
I had it the other way around... Guitar -> BF2 -> Boost (MIJ SD-1 or OD808) -> Amp. :confused:
Need to try it your way.

EDIT:
Mark, I like it better your way i.e. Boost -> BF2.

I was just having a blast with the SD80...
Charvel (with DD) -> MIJ SD-1 -> BF2 -> SD80 -> 4x12 with GB's.. with some DELAY DELAY DELAY...
