Tuning up on stage with audio is unprofessional.

The TU was hated amongst my circles

Could not possibly see the screen if there was any sunlight or bright stage lights, etc etc

I still hate the things, once TC came out with the polytune IMO it became obsolete

Silent, accurate tuning was nice.

Kurt used to use a Studio Pre-amp. thats probably what you are seeing there.

I had to chuckle a couple months back when I saw EJ, dude did an acoustic set to start the show and after 2-3 songs started tuning onstage, still turned up in the PA. Then 2-3 songs into the 2nd set with his electric dude was just tuning onstage through his rig and PA, probably spent 45-60 seconds doing so, which is quite a while to hear someone of that caliber tuning through the fucking PA system.

There was something endearing about it at the same time, he wasn’t even trying to rush when he did it.
