So I should sell my Pitchblack and get one??
Of course   Because the Turbo is better.

  I have no idea but it blows the boss out of the water.

I will compare it to a cheaper Korg tonight and see how it does.

I have one, and I just don't like it at all. It doesn't agree with me. I much prefer the TC. This is a pretty timely thread. Kage was over the other day and saw it and asked me about it, and I told him the same thing. I am hardly a perfectionist though. I just like to be in tune..lol. I think the fact that it is soooooo sensitive is what I hate about. The TC is simple and seems quite accurate. I keep mine around only because they are hardly worth selling, but if I could get close to what I paid it would have been gone along time ago.

I sold my Peterson Strobostomp to buy this. It tracks notes better, but the Peterson had more functionality. A worthwhile investment, for sure.

I used the stroborack before I bought the TT. Out of the box, I liked the Peterson better because of it's awesome tempered tunings.
It was a bit of a hassle but I programmed the Peterson tempered tuning into the TT and now it's as good.

The only thing that I don't like ( the Peterson suffered from this also btw) is that tuning in a noisy environment is tricky where f.i. an old Korg/Boss is much more steady and less sensitive to outside influences.

I was thinking about getting the TT but ended up getting a new BOSS TU-3 instead. I upgraded from a pitchblack and i do like the TU-3 better. One thing about the TT i didnt really like was its readout, i prefer the single bar read outs that go left and right with the center being in tune and any circular tuner like the TT or the planet waves tuner just get me mixed up especially if something is really out of tune and it spins real quick one way and then the other ya know... Also one of the reason i ditched the pitchblack was because of how hard it is to read in bright outdoor shows, and i had heard that the BOSS pedals are better at that sort of thing, and since buying the TU-3 it turn out ppl were right and it is a way better tuner for brighter gigs. Plus the readout is a lot better than the TU-2 if thats what you're comparing to other tuners out there. I'd love to try a TT out someday but since i didnt have a chance to get my hands on one i didnt want to spend the cash and not have it workout as good for me as the BOSS unit does.

I don't like mine, it tunes fine but it's just too hard to read when it's on the floor. I can't tell which way it's spinning at a glance. I'm back to the old Korg with a UV type readout.

The TU-2 is the least accurate of the pedal tuners. Boss did improve with the TU-3. The Turbo tuner is the most accurate. I wish I had gotten a Turbo tuner instead of my Peterson SS2, even though the SS2 works fine.

I have both, a Turbo (desktop model) and a TC Poly Tune. I prefer the TC and use it (not in poly mode) to tune all guitars on the Dylan tour.

Lots of mixed reviews. Like anything else I guess.

I used it at band practice last night. I love how sensitive it is. I actually prefer the rotating bars on the tt to a solid line with bars. Both myself and the other guitarist in me band used it and we sounded better than ever (pretty sad right?).

A tip I received from a trusted and well liked source (JP) Told me to try tuning on the neck pickup. That seems to work best for me. It just seemed to be less finicky that way but still dead nuts on. Maybe give that a try if you find it to be too sensitive or too busy on the rotations.

Neck pickup ftw. Definitely works best for tuning with the TT and the PT.

I would like to try a pedal version of the TT...the main reason I don't like the desktop version I have is the display. You can't see the note you are tuning.

There's the possibility to calibrate each note in the TT so I hooked up both the Peterson and the TT. Tuned my guitar exactly to the tempered tuning on the Peterson and calibrated the TT so it would correspond with the frequency that particular note was tuned to. Does that make sense ?

You'll have to check the TT manual on how exactly to calibrate; don't know that of the top of my head...

I love mine! Best thing is you can keep it plugged in-line all the time, and it doesn't use the battery unless the tuner is ON. So it stays in my signal chain always at the ready!

I was curious if it would kill the battery leaving it plugged into the chain. Thanks for clearing that up. Battery should last a really long time then? I planned on bringing an extra 9v power supply to practice, guess I don't have to now.

I called the company, and they said when the tuner is off, it's full bypass and the battery isn't used. You could always use a power cord, but the battery lasts a good long time!

I did not care for the LED display on the TC, so I swapped it for a Pitchblack. I went ahead and ordered a TT today.

Cool man. Let us know how you like it.

I just bought another for home use.

Good info man. Thanks again!

I have my for two years, no problems, great tuner.

haha, you're making me want one of these Tom, and I already own a SS2!

Who hyped it?

Will this tuner bring my board up to a new level? A new ballgame?

No clue, I have my TU-2 by-passed with a switchmaster 5 way with it's own tuner mute button so for me the answer is no..................will add nothing.

after using the turbo tuner, the TC tuner and the Korg Pitch black this weekend, Im pretty much done with my 24yr old tu-2

All the ones that I tried were awesome but for the price, the Korg was great

I use a planet waves tru-strobe desktop tuner and it works just as well. Metal, built solid. True bypass. 70 dollars american. And, even though it's a "desktop" tuner I still stick it in my pedal board and turn it on and off with my foot. Cause I'm a rebel like that.
