Turbo Tuner from Sonic Research lives up to the hype

When I tune I put it on the neck pickup with the tone rolled all the way back, and hit the 12th fret harmonic. I think that is even what the book said that came with the turbo tuner.

Yeah, I do the same with my strobe tuner. Only I just hit the string and not the harmonic. And I pluck the strings with my fingers. You want as little overtones as possible.

haha, you're making me want one of these Tom, and I already own a SS2! :doh: :lol: :LOL:
Sorry Eric. Not trying to spend your money for you. :lol: :LOL: Is it leaps and bounds better than the Peterson.....probably not, idk. It was just a huge difference from my boss. I really like the rotating display. So fast and easy to read. I have always had the problem of the low e being sharp when the boss said it was in tune. Would have to go 2-3 bars flat to be in tune, not the case with the TT. Works like a tuner should imo..... :) .tunes my fucking guitar.

Who hyped it?

Will this tuner bring my board up to a new level? A new ballgame?

No clue, I have my TU-2 by-passed with a switchmaster 5 way with it's own tuner mute button so for me the answer is no..................will add nothing.

You own one of the badest mofos on the planet (Natas). I think you deserve one of the badest tuners to go with it. :)

after using the turbo tuner, the TC tuner and the Korg Pitch black this weekend, Im pretty much done with my 24yr old tu-2

All the ones that I tried were awesome but for the price, the Korg was great

Right on, thanks for the input. I'm sure these top 3 tuners are just splitting hairs and it comes down to personal preference.

My only problem now will be selling my Boss if they read this thread. :aww: :D

Exactly.

I don't think the TC is near as accurate as the Turbo. The next closest to the Turbo is the Strobo stomp. It's nice too. Not as durable, but it has some nice features, like sweetened tunings. The strobo get's a lot of flack about not tracking as fast and being hard to use. But personally, I think you have to be a retard not to be able to use one. They're very easy. Great for intonation.

If my strobo craps out I'll probably get the turbo. Especially for the price.

Strobo==+/-.1cents

Turbo=+/-.02cents

TC=+/-.5

They are all very good...better than "good enough for Rock N Roll :lol: :LOL: "

+1 for the Turbo. I've had mine since the initial release.
Really fast
Really accurate
Built to last

Accuracy is good enough to set up your guitar.
