Guys. You’ve got to try out the Powertron+ pickup. I love them.

Tuned to D and chugs away. Like a mix between P90 and a humbucker

Looks killer; wanted to try some of those newer TV Jones / Gretsch inspired pickups for a long time, this may push me to finally go for it.
Don't know why, but I've always pictured they'd be great for some King's X / Ty Tabor style.
Now I'd have to find the right guitar for those :)

The powertron and powertron+ pickups are killer.
They make them in normal humbucker size, but as with everything else, geometry matters.
You can buy pickup rings from TV Jones that fit a standard humbucker ring screw pattern, but have a smaller opening to fit the standard filtertron geometry.
If you are going to put filtertrons in your Gibson, I recommend that you get the standard filtertron pickups, and get the correct rings to mount them.
The humbucker size ones are really good, but if you instal the narrower classic type, its the last 10%.
Whichever way you go, highly recommended 👌

Do the filtertrons do ok with the standard 500k pots?

Why does the size mean a difference? I have both the original design and the humbucker size. I can’t tell the difference? Please educate me

I think so. Both mine are tuned to D. Might be a bit trebly in std e. Could wire a resistor I parallel to get the pot to 400k maybe
