How many OD pedals do you use (together)?

I
I usually use none.

Live I usually plug straight in. Occasionally a wah and modulation pedal.

I have a few overdrive pedals and what one I use very much depends on the other gear used.

I am thinking about putting a pedal board together with a overdrive, boost, distortion, fuzz, compressor in the loop of the Zuul+. Basically covering everything.
What kind of music are you playing? I have a friend who plays in a fairly successful surf band in California, I dont think he uses anything, just a Jazzmaster into a fender (they have belly dancers so the audience never cares...)

A bit of everything. Current band I would call hard rock. But definitely some blues, country, metal, funk mixed in there.

agreed. They don't play my style of music, but they are legit players who legit care about gear and presenting real information that helps players
The show is done really really well ....

I do wish they brought on more metal type guests or any for that matter ...

Then they could cover some different stuff

I've got a dual drive that has a Wampler plexi on one side and a Hermida Zen Drive on the other .... does VH all day long

I've considered doing a Duelist several times ..... sooner or later
Thats a sweet combination!

Yeah, like on the rare occasion there will be someone who plays harder rock and they are always shocked by the chops.

Simon McBride Episode was a good one. I *think* we went to same teacher at the same time, so maybe Im biased.

Ha name drop, Im such a cock...

How many? Generally zero. But if I have to deal with amps that lack channels (backline etc.), then I'll reluctantly use them. I like the Radial Plexitube in that case.

The idea of paying thousands of dollars for an amp only to have it lack appropriate channels is absurd to me though.

Right. They've only really had Rabea and that one british emo guy on that I recall

They are always shocked at the chops involved, its hilarious

They always have great info though, cheers to dan and mick for a job well done - doing guitar youtube right

If they added some high gain amps and a few high gain players once in a while ... the show would be the tits .... they cover just about every pedal out there already ...
How about some high gain applications

I remember watching one video with rabea whateverhisnameis, where he was trying to teach them heavier riffs, made me realise metal players and tan pants players are basically different species.

They should have some metal guests on.

Watching Dan try to down pick was hysterical.

I spend more time working on techniques than gear. Not like I am a great player or anything. I just enjoy it.
