The V is sorta cool. Not sure why they just couldn't do the IBG headstock on the sg/lp/es. $899 for the 335 is too high IMO. I can get an IBG used in excellent shape for that kinda $.Stainless Steel frets. Locking tuners. Ebony fretboard. Compound radius. Color-shifting finishes. $899.
It looks like some of them are already sold out, but damn, these seem like a great bang for your buck.

Are the Epis as bad as US Gibsons right now? The fret size is fucking stupid.Just wish they didn't use such small frets. Deal breaker for me.
I've wanted a v for a while. I had a Charvel V in 1990 and it was nice for practicing while sitting. I'm trying to not spend money on gear, but I did look pretty close at the futura Vs. I like the shorter, larger radius headstock vs the longer pointed one. I saw a recent video review of a new white Gibson 70s V and the finish was so thin, it was rubbing off from handling it a few times. Crazy.
Yeah. I checked out the newer 80s Epiphone Explorer and the frets were tiny. From close up pics of these, the frets are the same size. Very strange to me.Are the Epis as bad as US Gibsons right now? The fret size is fucking stupid.
Yep. It's almost criminal. I bought a LP Jr last year and had SS frets put on it immediately. It was worth it to me for the price I paid but guitars that are over 2K and more is plain stupid. There are lot of new Gibsons I like but I refuse to even consider them until they realize and fix the fret size problem.Yeah. I checked out the newer 80s Epiphone Explorer and the frets were tiny. If the Probucker ignite model are Probucker ii and iii quality it's a good solid set of pickups.

Yeah I don't appreciate you showing me that V at all, LOL. That'd be my 4th flying V but probably the one I'd keep. Thanks a lot dude. The pickups are the only thing that have me wondering...not that I don't have guitars with their own branded pickups (Schecter, Sully, etc.)...and I've always been in the school of thought that, "I can always EQ an amp," but for some reason, the pickups in these Epiphones are the only spec that doesn't scream AMAZING to me, where every other spec seems almost too good to be true for the price point (SS frets specifically).
That V that @Beyond Black posted is the one I'm eyeing.
