Sounds just "okay" to me. I don't care for the bottom end. :)

I liked it, it kept that just below exploding tone a bit shrill but cool.

Stock marshall tweaked a tad.

I have modern stuff for the tight part :)

Agree. I owned 2 of his mods and the bottom is a tad flubby.

How do you like them compared to Friedman and Cameron?

Bray seems more vintage orientated and looks like it can nail the brown sound better than anyone too!

Those are high gain heads though with more re-work esp the Cameron.

David has the VH thing down. I like his mods, but in the end I liked my Friedman mods better.

I think comparing a bray to those guys is completely pointless
very different approaches
fortin cali, friedman and cameron are 80's master volume high gainers with modern edge
bray is pure late 60's/early 70's
the VH thing is very misleading

I agree, I would never compare my Fortin to a Bray.

I heard that clip before and they are the reason I now own a bray modded amp. They can do the vh thing but are capable of much more and for some reason his stuff cleans up with the volume knob better then any other marshall mods I have owned/heard. I love the one I have which is fully decked out with the push pulls, line out,fx loop, dual switchable masters, and more. His prices for his own line are pretty good especially considering what comparable amps are selling for these days, if u like the 73 clip, go to youtube and check out his Bray line. I may purchase the 45/50 hybrid which is like a jmp 50 with tube rec and his mods and sounds probably the best on youtube.

Yeah, alot of modded marshalls are geared more for modern metal or detuned metal. Brays stuff is more vintage screaming plexi in nature ala brown sound although they can get very saturated if desired. He has other mods and designs for more modern heavy stuff or 80's high gain like the panther mod and the new mod 2 plus option. He is a great guy to work with and is big on keeping the amp sounding marshall in nature, very professional.
