Because it's easier to downstroke a few power chords tryna look cool than it is to improvise for ten minutes over 3 chords at a master level. One requires a few months of training, the other is a lifetime pursuit with no real end to it. Older dudes became lazy and inept, young people became ignorant and uninformed.

Not everyone wants the crap amp above. Just like most musical instrument companies now, instead of seeking excellence in tone or production quality, they are just selling trash to millenials, who have money to waste on crap like that, hoping to make a buck. Even more egregious is they cheat the buyer out of two of the input holes. Just some cheap crap. You gotta be a real moron....

Dookie came out when I was 12 and I loved it until I was about 15. Insomniac came out and had a couple of good songs. After that I agree with @DanTravis62. They became so bad to the point I am embarrassed by them.

But as a 14 year old listening to Dookie in my bedroom, the tones and the drum playing was incredible. American Idiot made me want to take a drill to my own ear drums.

Seriously. I actually do want this. I love Marshall tone, and love modded Marshall amps even more.
Just realized I want it because I love unique looking amps.

Does not suit his guitars. Would sound much better with a more traditional style for sure.

Both really. But what I meant is his guitars and pickups don’t suit that amp and aren’t doing it proper justice. I don’t know how good or bad it actually is, but I don’t think Ola’s style and his guitars are a great fit.

Would be like hearing a matchless demo’d by him using a Solar guitar and thinking it was a good representation of the amp.

I go to Ola if I want to hear certain things as I think he does a great job. This isn’t one of those occasions.

This makes it interesting IMO. Also, the original amp is owned by the producer, not Armstrong.

The original amp at least has some lo-mids.
But the lack of clarity overall, it’s ridiculous.
With a great, lively amp, you have vocal-range mids and their harmonics dancing around in 3D, and you don’t know how lucky you are, whilst trying to focus on elements of the tone.
With this shit, it’s a hi-mid saturated total fucking mess. With nothing of any worth.
I assume JJ or PSVane valves, so you might as well throw away your soldering iron. Some things can’t be fixed.
