Seriously. I actually do want this. I love Marshall tone, and love modded Marshall amps even more.
Just realized I want it because I love unique looking amps.

What a fucking mess.
Will someone please explain to me, how we went from Jimi’s San Diego blues masterclass below, through all of Allan Holdsworth’s albums - only to finally arrive in a world where everyone wants the crap above?

what flavor you looking for JEL / 800 ??

A few videos of this amp have been released in the last 24 hours. I cannot deal with the cosmetics myself...That said, to my ears it sounds and responds pretty good... better than either of the Marshall "modified" series amps.

It’s a sonic mess from 0-1.5Khz.
The eq/gain interraction is a joke.
Next…

I would understand this a lot more if green day broke up in the late 90s before their music got insanely retarded

It was never amazing (especially compared to the depth and relative musical complexity of their peers like Bad Religion, Rancid, NOFX, Pennywise, etc)

But they fell off HARD after insomniac, like really, really hard

It almost seems like a completely different band

Green Day was cool in the 90’s, they had a string of two or three great albums. Then a string of a few weaker albums. Then crap. I’ll even say there are some killer tones on Dookie and Insomniac.

The Marshall sounds fantastic. What a great mix of modern gain and Marshall upper mid clarity. But that blue color… man. If they offered it in Black, I might be interested.

So you don't like it?
Well, it’s not for me. But my opinion doesn’t really count.
I’m up for a jumpered Plexi or JTM with a Koko Boost pushing it. But then I’d use a Motherload Elemental to bring it back to line-level - blending filtered and unfiltered signals with a rack mixer, before patching-in effects on mixer send/returns. That would then feed a stereo valve power-amp, and go through two 1x12” Alnico Creams.
That’s a bare bones description of my basic minimum to get something controllable and rewarding.
Compression and EQ after the load-box too.
I find a simple half-stack to be a bit raw generally. Always have, unless you can play at the amp’s sweet spot.
And I’m looking for single-coil performance too. Which lessens any validity of my views to humbucker users.
I’ve heard some smashing demos of Jose’s and Mr.Scary’s. But too much hi-mid here for me, and the rest is indistinct.

Green day was a pile of crap band since their inception. Funny people sit around bitching about the state of music today but then say green day was awesome in their early days? GARBAGE.

Because it's easier to downstroke a few power chords tryna look cool than it is to improvise for ten minutes over 3 chords at a master level. One requires a few months of training, the other is a lifetime pursuit with no real end to it. Older dudes became lazy and inept, young people became ignorant and uninformed.

Not everyone wants the crap amp above. Just like most musical instrument companies now, instead of seeking excellence in tone or production quality, they are just selling trash to millenials, who have money to waste on crap like that, hoping to make a buck. Even more egregious is they cheat the buyer out of two of the input holes. Just some cheap crap. You gotta be a real moron....

I'll be honest, a lot of this is the fact that its Billy Joe whats his face. It would be same if there was a Nickleback Rectifier. Could be a a great amp, but....ya know...

Balance that with 4 grand for a single channel with no loop, and a preamp modelled after greenday.........not really a thing for me.

It doesn't sound bad to my ears, but it doesn't sound $4K good either. You could probably save yourself a chunk of change, get a JVM or Ceriatone All Access, and have nearly the same tone with more versatility. Aside from hard core Green Day fans I really don't know who this amp is supposed to appeal to.
