C'mon now! Fuckin badass. Ed sure makes everyone who was dissing him a few years back, look silly now :)

Saw them in Atlanta. Great show. Ed brought it.

As good as his 5153 rig sounded, it shocked me how terrible Jake's 5153 rig sounded on TMS.

I know the 5153 can rule!

Im still baffled how Jake sounded that bad. I have plugged my 5153 into all kinds of cabs and cannot get a bad tone.

It takes talent to make a 5153 sound bad.

I'd love to see Ed on That Metal Show. I have a feeling he could pull some cool stuff out for it.

And I bet they would too!

Get Hetfield the next month....

Ed is only approached in the funk metal shred improv by Nuno. If anyone has done it all, done it well, it is Ed.

maybe Ed listened to the critics and polished up his act.. he's rock solid now. Sometimes a bit of internet bashing goes a long way. Look at Lynch lately, even he has started tightening up the chops.

There is still a market for good metal players. I would go see any of them.

I agree. I've bashed EVH plenty over the last ten years because of all the weird bullshit, and me being a big fan of Michael Anthony. But even I'll admit that that performance sounded pretty good.

I sure miss the old days though.

My hero!

His tone is more preamp gain sounding than it used to be, but he can still play.

I love VH, really do, one of my favs of all time but Dave is just annoying. He just is now so Vegas'y or something, looks like Myles Crane and I hate what he does with the phrasing and trying to sing higher than the original recording. Just sing the F'in song like it was recorded already....much more of a fan of Sammy on stage but like the DLR songs better. Band as a whole is sounding killer though...and Eddie still can bring it and so can Alex.

Yes!!! I feel the same way about DLR... But those old VH songs are the best, I agree!!
Sammy hagar rocks, really cool guy too!!!

I'm not quite old enough to have caught them in their prime but got to see them last year. Glad i got to see the once, even if it was on the Geritol tour.

Hello Rig-Talk...

Super bummed I missed this show. Saw them last year when they were in San Diego and was totally blown away. Unfortunately this year I had my last round of Chemo delayed due to complications and was to sick to attend. Hopefully they come back soon.
