i think i'm going to just wait for the album to come out and just listen to it in its entirety like the old days.

hanging out on forums to watch the slow stoning is not fun. if the album sucks it sucks and I'll move on. i have a feeling it won't suck though. so personally, i won't be reading any reviews or listening to any leaks. i've found that when I've done that in the past I build up a negative bias. i want to take the album in in its entirety.

Eh... Nobody can deny Eddie's impact regarding the guitar, but Van Halen's always been cheesy to me, "Tattoo" included. Cheese was fun when I was 19, not so much anymore. David Lee Roth reminds me of an 80s frat boy who dropped out of college and now delivers pizzas while living in the past. Anybody else think Wolfie looks like the kid from "Two and Half Men"? Anyway, just my two cents...

Heard it in the car last night and cranked it...I'm officially moving over to the dark side and saying that I dig it. Cheesy lyrics? No doubt...just like the vast majority of old VH songs. Cliche guitar licks? Yup...by the guy who started that fire so I'm willing to give him a pass for sounding like himself. If this came out as a single in place of "Pretty Woman" we all would have gone bat-shit crazy for it. I still dislike the guitar tone...hopefully its better on the other tracks. I'll be buying the album.
