here's some from netmusicians....

the tones I got out of the D120 were pretty close to what I was getting out of the Sig:X

still don't know the Deliverances are SOOOO badass.....

Have any high gain clips of your Sig X?

The only thing I have is it blended with other amps .... and I am not sure where that is ? I wish I did.

I currently have a Mk III Coli, VHT UL and a VHT Classic (basically a '92 EL34 UL) and I prefer the VHT stuff over Mesa. My #1 amp right now is a 2009 Ultra Lead, prefer it over the SLO and Uber I had also.

I have played just about every amp that Mesa has made. I have played a Deliverance 120, an early Ultra Lead, a CL100 and I currently have a Sig: X. The Sig: X is the best all around amp for me. The cleans are perfectly clean, the mid gain sound is actually my favorite thing on the entire amp and the high gain sounds can do some serious metal.

Take these comments as you will since I tend to be the guy who rolls off the presence knob and plays entirely too loud.

Here's one I posted the other day.
It's a very rough mix with no vocals yet.
Only a little Waves verb, delay on the lead with wah.
Forgive me and my shitty band

Very cool

Not sure why, but I've ignored the Sig:x since it came out in '08. Now I'm gassing for one pretty bad.

Mesa Mark any day of the week. The only VHT I ever dug was the D series but single channel with no loop is a deal killer for me. All of the other VHTs have an odd tone I just can't jell with.

I had a Sig:X and Deliverance plus a Mark IV.
I still have my Mark IV which is my main gigging amp and it can do everything.
The Sig:X is incredible but I parted with it after a while.
I preferred the Deliverance over the the Sig:X BTW.

I'll take my D60/D412 rig over any of those. I've owned the MKIII, MKIV and UL.

The Sig X is one of the only amps that I have ever owned where I feel that what I put into it is what I'm getting out of it.

I would take a Pitbull over a Mesa any day of the week. I just love the aggressive, dry and tight, articualate huge hi gain sounds you can get from them. It's just brutal, However I would perhaps choose a Mesa, like the MKIIC+ or MKIII (NOT MKIV!) if I wanted to play leads. But for an allround amp I would choose a Pitbull, any of them. They just slay!

Hey Bob, since you've owned a UL, could you compare the two? I'm curious. Thanks!

Here's the thing that I've noticed with my very limited VHT experience. They have a great tone, but there seems to be this very dry and almost harsh tone that's underneath everything else, if that makes any sense. Maybe I didn't spend enough time with the combo that I played, but I couldn't completely smooth the sound out for leads like I can do with a Mark IV.
I'd think that with all the tone shaping options of the sig:X, dialing in a super smooth lead sound should be easy. But there's some frequency I'm hearing even in clips that seems to be always present. Thoughts?
