Here's a crazy idea ...try holding on to the UL till next month.

I believe you are talking yourself into keeping the ULSgtThump":234cszmo said:stephen sawall":234cszmo said:Here's a crazy idea ...try holding on to the UL till next month.![]()
CRAZY IDEA!!!!!!!!!!!![]()
UPDATE - I just got through comparing the two amps again, but this time I used the rhythm channel on the UL with the boost engaged. Man, that's ALOT closer. They're pretty close in tone, but the Landry has something extra special in the treble that sounds sweet.
They were alot closer in "punch", though. Probably about equal in punch now (using the rhythm channel on the UL.)
Maybe a swap in the future for the roadster huh!!SgtThump":buu793n3 said:HMJ":buu793n3 said:I believe you are talking yourself into keeping the UL![]()

LOL! But that's the thing. I don't really need two amps that cover the same ground, ya know? You know me well... You know I'm just addicted to buying/selling/trading no matter what.
I am keeping the Landry for a long time, though. Mark my word.

I may go down and check out that fifty watt.
Dude, just BUY ONE! I don't think you'd be disappointed at all when you get home and hear it in your environment. Seriously! It's awesome Dave and would probably keep you happy for a long time.
(Then you can shitcan that crappy Budda you have! lol... Kidding.)

I'm into Vox tone, so I'm probably way off base here, but IMO FWIW:
I second the Marshall hand wired 1974x, this thing sounds amazing - this is the Marshall tone I could get used to!
Do either of these hit the tone you want?
What does the VHT really provide that the Landry doesn't?
Those both sound great!!! But I can get similar type of "vintage" tones from the Landry using the clean channel with the gain up or the distortion channel without the high gain mode. No, it's not exactly like a NMV Marshall, but I mean, it's close enough for me.
It's the super heavy rectifier type of tone I can't get. I know the SLO doesn't do that either, but that's an amp I've always wanted to try. lol...
