Where the f*ck us donbarzini when you need him

Miss that guy. You know, not in a gay way but...

Yes, Warren was a monster player, and still is based on some recent youtube clips I've heard. The first album was the best IMO. I think Way Cool Jr. was great, showed some maturity as a band and as a player.

My first "real" concert was Ratt\Great White\Warrant. I was 15...talk about a way to get your cherry popped. It was the Way Cool Jr tour. Robin was like 10 feet in front of me all night....this GIANT mofo with perfect blond hair and lipstick...and looked like he could f'n KILL you!!!! Warren was AWESOME.

Love both George and Warren. I hear similarities but there phrasing is totally different, both are amazing.

Before I get flamed, I like Warren....in a good band with a horrible singer, but a great player, with tasty chops. That being said, I always felt he borrowed LIBERALLY from George Lynch....I know they were friends, and Warren picked up a lot of George's techniques, vibrato, etc. While I like Warren, he's always been George-Lite to me. I haven't found too many of his solos as memorable as Georges, especially stuff off of Under Lock and Key/ Toof & Nail

I remember an interview with Warren and he talks a little about things he picked up from Lynch, most notably the slide-vibrato (whatever you want to call it). His picking style is very akin to Lynch as well. His phrasing is similar in a lot of ways, but I don't think Warren was as "edgy" as Lynch, and Lynch sure had a lot more fire in his solos. Warren got bluesy quick in his career, and long before Lynch did it seems.
