I think it's kind of ridiculous to blame Peavey for outsourcing, when pretty much every company has done this over the last 20-30 years. It's a much deeper problem than simply wanting to make more profit. The US having the reserve currency, has been in a situation where it could be misused and abused. You're seeing the imbalance of that abuse play out today in real time, as you see any manufactured amps in the US are 2-3 times more in cost to produce. Unfortunately, the mess cannot be fixed any time soon, unless we have a total collapse of the current system.

There's profit and then there's profit. And yes, the problem is bigger where people expect products to be at a certain price point, while wages, costs, parts etc. all go up. So after a while, you just can't make $1100-1500 USA made amps (or guitars for that matter...remember Carvin?) anymore.
