Compared to the crap that's coming out today? If peavey made them in the USA, and rereleased the VTM and butcher today for inflation adjusted prices compared to what they were, they would absolutely destroy everything on the market.

And that's kind of the point - they fucked up over and over and over again when all they had to do was keep doing what they were doing
