Leslie has the best coke eyes in this video. You can so tell by the lack of focus on the singing his brain is going like hamster on meth. 😂
Love these guys.

I read an interview with Iommi who said he first did coke with Leslie on their first American tour

I like recordings like this. It shows the point isn't necessarily to get 100% laboratory pristine sterile perfect captures of sound waves and millisecond perfect takes every single time.

Sometimes just putting the right vibe on tape is way more effective.

he was a guest performer on the mark and brian radio show in LA one morning and his tone on that broadcast was huge. brian may was also on another morning and he too had insane tone.

like better than any recording or live tone i’d ever heard out of either guy.

whoever was the morning engineer at KLOS FM radio station knew exactly what he was doing!

Love KLOS !!! Listened to it non-stop when I was on a trip in Cali 3 years ago ! For some reason it's not possible to listen to it over the net in Europe, don't know why...

Early 70's
West blew my hair back with ,1 no, 2 no,
3 FULSTACKS in red

Now that was Rock and Biscuit to the max
A test of age. Tell me who had an Album with a Rock and a Biscuit on the cover.

Thanks for sharing! We used to cover that tune and we would mostly stick to the original but that live version is over the place and I liked it.

He was phoning in the vocals. This is still a better live version:

its a better representation of the album version, which i usually for as im not too much about bands veering too far off live, his playing is way more slippery though in the other one, and that tone that would make dimebag proud is awesome

Oh look, a cranked Marshall. Cue some moron to tell us their experience with cranked Marshalls has been poor.

What's sad is your average zoomer guitarist wouldn't know how to deal with that level of power and it'd get away from them. Playing with a cranked big amp is somewhat of a different skill set. Most guys under 40 have to be trained in on it because so many clubs and municipalities have moronic volume restrictions now.

I had a TSL100 20 years ago that I bought new at the Sherman Oaks Guitar Center. I loved that fuckin amp but never put it through its paces.
Fast forward 20 years and I'm practicing weekly with a band and love the JCM800 at the rehearsal space; crank that shit.

Heck yeah, electric guitar how it was meant to be played! I'll be cranking a Twin this weekend if the good Lord's a' willin and the creeks don't rise.
