“Spheres” by Pestilence. Love this record but always wondered what it would sound like with a more “conventional” tone. A extra bonus is it’s also filled with early Roland guitar synth.
I had that on cassette!

yep...It was the Vetta when I saw them way back. But I saw Loomis use the Podxt rack mount with Nevermore a few times as well.Yeah, I think Iconoclast is when he got away from the Line 6 garbage. I think he used a Marshall Monoblock power amp and POD HD preamps, as well as Vettas, live, prior.
He's been using SE's, Powerballs and Fireballs since Iconoclast.
Definitely . Although I did like the tone on summer nights5150
I have to disagree, I think the tone on this one perfectly set the mood for what it might be like on a whaling boat, going after the holy grail. The vocals, too. But this is one of my favorite albums so you can't necessarily take anything I say seriously.Mastodon - Leviathan
Cardboardy drums, fuzzy scratchy guitars that sound like a Behringer pedal. Ugh.
Killer music, though, and I normally don't like Mastodon.
