What’s an album you love but hate the tones ?

Yeah, I think Iconoclast is when he got away from the Line 6 garbage. I think he used a Marshall Monoblock power amp and POD HD preamps, as well as Vettas, live, prior.

He's been using SE's, Powerballs and Fireballs since Iconoclast.
yep...It was the Vetta when I saw them way back. But I saw Loomis use the Podxt rack mount with Nevermore a few times as well.

Mastodon - Leviathan
Cardboardy drums, fuzzy scratchy guitars that sound like a Behringer pedal. Ugh.
Killer music, though, and I normally don't like Mastodon.
I have to disagree, I think the tone on this one perfectly set the mood for what it might be like on a whaling boat, going after the holy grail. The vocals, too. But this is one of my favorite albums so you can't necessarily take anything I say seriously.
