I'm more of a "Stay in my lane" type - I tend to stick to what i'm good at, until I "build it up" enough to add it to my writing
I've JUST gotten to the point recently to be comfortable adding my alternate picking stuff into solos, it took me years and years because I didn't think I had it "down" good enough. And even then, there are certain tempos where I feel awkward with it
I have a million other techniques I can do arpeggios with, so I don't feel limited by not being great at full 6 string sweeps. Generally speaking, I can pull off the yngwie 3 string style arpeggios well enough to where I don't feel like it's super necessary.
That's probably why I haven't gotten that great at it tbh
