what delay to use with hi-gain

I use the Servus Pedal "Yodelmaster" and Source Audio "Nemesis".

The Nemesis is badass!

+1 in this. The DL-8 is a killer delay pedal. From my understanding it has some of the 80s Lexicon algorithms in the pedal. At any rate, it's a killer pedal that doesn't break the bank.
 
I have a BOSS Giga delay. Out front it is just a fucking mess. Through the loop, you cannot beat it.

Ditto, Most people love the modulation setting it seems but the tape delay kills as well and is my favorite setting.

I agree. Has to be in the loop, after that it's just taste. I've had good luck with the MXR Carbon Copy but only in the loop.

Agree completely. I'm pretty happy with a 25 year old DD-3 in the loop of any high gain amp.
