That in no way, at all, changes the fact that someone else talking about cocks all day every day is also doing gay shit.

One of the cool things about OTC:

A thread that should be over in a page can start about a specific subject and morph into practically anything.

Hope you feel better soon brother. Depression is no joke. You'll pull through. Cheers mate.
Thank you; I appreciate that brother.

Unfortunately, regardless of how long it lasts, it will return after a period. It's just a part of my condition (heavy-metal poisoning -> autoimmune). At the best of times I'm pretty-depressed, but every now and again it flares up real-bad.

Just gotta make like the Apostle Paul said and try to forget what lies behind and press on.

Sorry to hear that man. Not to suggest something way out there, but ceremonial psychedelic use has helped a lot of people. Personally a couple of ayahuasca ceremonies knocked depression back for years. Intentional use of psilocybin can help in similar fashion. It's not for everyone but definitely helped me.

Yup. Good suggestion.

I tried it back in the '90s and ended up with strychnine poisoning. Everything looked blue for many months, after which time I became super-sensitive to it and even micro doses destroyed me.

The heavy metals from a very-young age made me really-sensitive to toxins, hence why I've basically lived a really-clean life. It was out-of-necessity.

Some types of psychedelic drugs, such as psilocybin and MDMA (ecstasy), have shown promise as therapies for treatment-resistant depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. They appear to work by encouraging the growth of new connections between neurons in the brain. This ability of the brain to make new connections is called plasticity.

Exactly how these drugs promote plasticity in the brain has been unclear. If the mechanisms could be understood, it might be possible to develop related drugs that can promote brain plasticity without causing unwanted hallucinogenic effects.

Previous studies have found that psychedelic drugs encourage plasticity by binding to a cellular receptor in neurons called the 5-hydroxytryptamine 2A receptor (5-HT2AR). But other compounds that bind to 5-HT2AR don’t promote plasticity. These include serotonin, a chemical messenger affected by some antidepressant treatments.

An NIH-funded research team led by Dr. David Olson from the University of California, Davis previously developed a sensor that could distinguish which drugs that bind to 5-HT2AR have hallucinogenic properties and which don’t. In a new study, the team set out to better understand why only certain compounds that bind 5-HT2AR drive plasticity. Their results were published on February 17, 2023, in Science.

Yup. I've followed the progression of the phenomenon since the '90s.

I'm not up with all the scientific jargon 'though, but of course having partaken back in the day I understand.

Damn bro. All the best to you. Thanks for all you do.

It’s actually in the fine print of the United States Constitution that you can call a person a homo, queer and/or fag without said person actually being a homo, queer and/or fag.

It’s science.

I am just not really behind the idea one can spam their own thread. I think none of us thought he was hacked or a bot. He didnt spam the main thread selling boner pills or whatever other nonsense. I thought the thread was pretty funny, and then all of a sudden, it is dead..

The thing about rig-talk is it is simultaneously the best and worst forum on the internet. No matter what hobby you have, there is no forum with this level of participation.

And for some of us, we use it as entertainment. Others use it as real life. They report others and get butthurt. They believe that the forum "Gods" have unfathomable and unquestioned knowledge and that shit is hilarious but not special to rig-talk in general. I guess some of us can't quit this place for all its flaws

They can also call you an inbred, hillbilly redneck, and ...yep..
