I keep coming back to the simple fact that we're living amongst a lot of assholes.
Leave your shopping cart in the parking lot blocking a space? asshole
Don't pick up after your dog in residential areas? asshole
Make a big stink cause a store or airline asks you to put on a mask? asshole
Choose not to service someone because you dislike their lifestyle? asshole

And my new favorite? Sidewalk directly adjacent to parking spaces and the dude with
the large pickup (with trailer hitch) has to back all the way in until his tires hit the curb.

The ass end now blocks the entire sidewalk.

Major, major asshole.
The person who pulls-up to get gas and stops at the first pump, thereby blocking access to the second pump. Asshole!

Anyways. HEMI Pooper baited everyone back into a shit discussion. Hope you guys see that
I didn't think anyone took note of that post? I did get a couple of lol's out of it, but that was it. I was hoping for more traction... :aww:

Or have laws that infringe on our constitutional rights.

Speaking of Constitutions......

Thomas Jefferson believed the constitution should be rewritten every 19 years.
He wrote that the dead should not rule the living, thus constitutions should expire frequently.

There have been 760 Constitutions used worldwide since ours was enacted in 1789.
The average document shelf life is 16 years.
Typical African country Constitutions last 10 years. Latin America is 12.5
Western Europe is second longest with an average of 32 and in Asian countries it's about 19.

The United States?
232 years and still going. Yes, there are amendments, but a lot of it is still ridiculously outdated.

The 2nd was written in regard to single shot flint and gunpowder firearms.

Thank the Wild Wild West and John Wayne for that never getting revised for the times.

Everyone LOVES tucking The Constitution under their arm cause it's an easy tug at the patriotic heartstrings,
but most will cherry pick the parts they want to preach about and then pretend the rest is mute.

The number of people choosing not to recognize the FULL Constitution right now in this country is staggering.
And a good number of them probably have big flags flying on their properties.

In the same category: The person who sets the pump handle to auto so they can go into the store.

Handle goes 'click' and the asshole is still inside browsing candy bars.

...which is what foreign soldiers were carrying at that time. Had they been armed with semi-auto firearms, the same would have applied to the citizenry. Thanks to the 2nd Amendment, no foreign invasion force will ever successfully invade the United States. Not using conventional weapons.

1st amendment was written when the newspaper came once a week.?

It’s not surprising to see that you think that someone who fly’s the flag on their property is bad. You really are a low life commie piece of crap. ?

And the document's wording should have been revised accordingly. Hell, the 2nd should have been clarified a week after it was enacted.
Once read a book where a number of historical law professors debated the wording and at the end simply couldn't agree on it.

Have you ever read it? The syntax is atrocious!

A well regulated Militia,
being necessary to the security of a free State,
the right of the people to keep and bear Arms,
shall not be infringed.

Reads like a bad haiku.

I'm all for my right to bear arms. I like arms.

Why can't you folks do an argument without the constant re-shaping of people's actual words.

WHAT DID I SAY DAVE?

Lot's of people cherry pick the Constitution - and they're often the most proudly patriotic.

I didn't say,

PEOPLE FLY FLAG - PEOPLE BAD!!!!

The trusty GK19... That guitar looks bad-ass!

Wow! No offense, but your original post has to be one of the most uneducated replies I've ever heard on a given topic, ever.

3rd Gen. Gotta be a cop to get 4th in CA.
Was planning on a Sig but noticed the store owner with the 19 on his hip while working.
Asked him why, since he had dozens of much more pretty or badass looking hardware.

"This other stuff is all fun, but if the shit really hits the fan? Got to be a Glock."

Since mine's for home defense that was a good enough endorsement for me!

What do you expect from a party that’s trying to re-shape the results of a presidential election?
